********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

Anyone know an ETA for this garage bug to be patched out? Don't mean to be the elephant in the room here but Rockstar are taking the absolute **** with this.

So people who play the game with the bug enjoy anal sex?.

The bug isn't game breaking & the game has been out 10 days, 10, T-E-N, days.

Multiplayer on Tuesday too, so it's not like RockStar are busy or anything.

Why does it come as no shock that, in the space of TEN DAYS since the launch of the biggest video game ever, they haven't fixed a bug (which they have said they are working on fixing)?

I think you summed it up well enough Tummy, It happened to me once and only once and I didn't even get bothered. :p It's easy to make money so not really a problem. Plus car duplication glitch can make it so you can have many versions of such a precious car :p although i do wish we had car insurance in the single player too.

How do you get the big planes from the airport? Every time I try to take one, it seems to randomly blow up before I can get in the air. I don't think it's being shot as it has happened even with no police around.

Buy the airport hanger and you get free rain of the airport and runways.

The big plane is very fragile. VERY. so a few shots are all it needs.

I just climbed up the massive construction site crane. Shot down the atomic blimp, then took out about 8 choppers, got my first 5 star police rating, then parachuted off the crane and landed on a ledge of a building where I lost the cops :D this game is hilarious fun!!

I haven't had any problem with disappearing cars so far. My Vinewood garage has three cars and a bike inside and Michael's Tailgater has been customised and has stayed customised.

Actually thought that mission was hilarious and great fun :D.

I loved it too. It is probably my favourite mission(part from a very similar one late in the game), as I like chilled out missions between the shootouts, I think it is this games biggest improvement over previous GTAs, especially IV in which the next missions simply meant more enemies. Nice to do a mission where you can just do a little bit of driving etc, and listen to some great dialogue.... It was a comment on what I was saying earlier, about the overzealous prompts that really get on my nerves

You clearly don't process metaphors very well. The issue is that yeah, 10 days is a huge amount of time to leave a large bug in a game, period. Doesn't matter who it is, and when tens of millions of people buy into a game that has one of the coolest features completely broken, a day one or two fix would be appreciated. Much smaller games patch up much smaller issues much quicker. Hardly the most complex mechanic on the planet, it is? A team of this size, that's just nuts, maybe they've all been given a vacation after their hard work on GTA, who knows.

Also, how can you state how big of a bug it is? In a game like this, bugs will effect others in different ways. I doubt I'm the only car collector out there who's unimpressed that cars are a one-use only type of thing, especially the awesome new ones they've added.

I've only had one car disappear too, a comet I'd dumped in Franklin's garage (at his Aunty's house) and that disappeared. I wasn't overly bothered, I'd not done anything besides smash it up in the process of getting it to the garage.

The car I stored with Michael stayed in his garage.

It's not game breaking. RockStar are preparing the launch of their very ambitious multiplayer after the biggest video game release in history, which was ten days ago, and they have actively said they are working on a fix for this and other bugs.

It's literally a non story, but for 'Judge' Omaeka it's another stick to beat a popular company with, which in itself is boring but what we have come to expect from Omaeka.

I mean, if he'd have played Total War: Rome II at launch (and indeed ten days after) he'd have just exploded in rage at the state of the game.

I did something similar and then to my great escape...jumped off, open chute hit a bar and died lol :p

No, you just have **** metaphors (GET IT, REFERENCE TO **** SEX), seriously man.

'So you're just happy that the vehicle customization is pretty much pointless? Bugs been around since launch but I guess some people enjoy it up the ass then eh.'

No, it isn't. (Vehicle customisation, is not pointless) Also; because people aren't battering the doors down at RockStar (probably too busy enjoying the game) that they like being ****** in the ass, which in itself is a really poor way of looking at it, RockStar aren't screwing people over by not fixing this on day one, two or three.

You imply that people who are playing & enjoying the game enjoy being ****** in the bottom, should all gamers just stop playing because there is a chance that the car they just parked in the garage might not be there when they go back? Holy ****, good job they can't go out and steal another one.

Also; it's ten days. Ten days. I don't think that's an terrible length of time to wait for a bug fix, for a non game breaking bug.

It's really not a game breaking bug, it doesn't effect the storyline or actually prevent players from playing.

As for mentioning that smaller studio's (yay cheer for the unpopular developers) release patches quickly, well ******' A! Well done them! You failed to mention if they were general bug fixes or fixes for game breaking bugs, you also forgot to mention if it was a patch for a day one release (not uncommon) but again, there is always the point that Grand Theft Auto is a complicated game (you said yourself a huge team worked on it) so maybe, this bug fix might be a bit more complicated then you think and takes a bit longer than an afternoon to fix.

Once again, you're being overly critical of a big/popular/good developer over something not, that bad.

I think the customization is pretty good, of course there could be a lot more options but we can't have it all.

I was quite impressed with the performance and sound difference (not the bov) of just the turbo.

Also 100% armour is impressive, the amount of bullets you can soak up is borderline ridiculous :p

I think the balance between missions is spot on, I mean the big, violent, loud missions are brilliant and great fun, but so are the funnier, slower paced, not really doing much missions.

I think previous incarnations have suffered from not having the right balance of missions or having too many or too little, if that makes sense. This game feels like very much the culmination of what RockStar has learnt from previous games, it's very good to see a game that has been developed with the best bits from their previous games in, things that worked improved, things that didn't work removed or improved, it feels rewarding and as if RockStar has taken on what the community has said.

I also think there are literally (Richard) tonnes of homages, references and in jokes throughout the game, which are really enjoyable too!

Finally gave in a got the map with letter piece and spaceship parts on it.
I'm 95% with pretty much no outside help and i'm never going to find them all without a map. aiming for 100%

What if the game was designed to store cars in the garage and not re-spawn if you blow them up etc.

How isn't customization pointless? They cost a bomb to mod and I haven't had one not disappear on me yet, gladly I only spent money doing one up before a mate told me about the bug. If you read the articles on it, a lot of people are unhappy that cars disappear, it's always been a big feature of the game. In my opinion yeah, it's taking the biscuit that ten days after launch, such a rich, large and dare I say it talented studio (BUT YOU HATE THEM FOR ONE OR TWO THINGS THEY'VE DONE OMAEKA, HOW CAN YOU EVER HAVE THAT OPINION!?) are still letting it linger.

I go nuts in games that let you mod cars, but I can't and to me that's taking the pee, I only got the game Thursday so thank god I haven't had the issue longer. I'm enjoying the game a ton, just think that it's taking the **** waiting this long a bug fix on such a simple mechanic. Last time I checked, releasing patches was now free on both platforms.

It's a shame that you can't voice your opinions about the things that studios do wrong unless they are seen as horrible like EA without being seen as some kind of negative hippy, or whatever you've attempted to hint at me being in other threads. I like Valve, I used to love Blizzard (own every game they've made bar MoP) and enjoy pretty much everything R* put out. Just because I can be bothered to speak up on what they do wrong (somebody has to, right? Everybody seems oblivious to their mistakes just because they are popular) doesn't mean I'm some sort of anti Christ.

Swear you had a moan at me for complaining that Fallout 3 refuses to work on a large portion of Win7 PCs, you sometimes come across like somebody who literally would accept anything from a company they like, no matter what it was.

What if the game was designed to store cars in the garage and not re-spawn if you blow them up etc.

Then I wouldn't destroy them :p Saint's Row for example (best car system ever) 99% of my cars stay in the garage. It's fun hoarding a bunch of tricked out rides imo. The customization in this title is the best of the series yet, but there's no point using it unless you have money to burn and don't mind never seeing the vehicle twice.

You're so cute.

I didn't say that customisation was pointless, it's required for missions and you can upgrade your default vehicles .

I've only had one car disappear on me, I can't say I was overly bothered because it's not like it's a huge effort to go and steal another. It's not a game breaking bug at all.

You sound like this feature has been out long term, it's been out 10 days and the bug has existed ten days. RockStar have announced they are working on a fix.

Again, a company as big and talented as RockStar have made a very big, complicated and deep game, so fixing bugs might not be as easy as they appear, even to such a talented team.

Nobody has a problem with people voicing their opinions on things, I just find you're opinions hilarious, you've made out this to be some big, game breaking bug, ignoring RockStar are working on it, ignoring the scale and complexity of the game and the scale of the bug fix relative to this and once again gone totally over the top in your complaint of this.

It's not that I defend companies I like, I defend companies against what I feel is an unfair complaint or when something is exaggerated, and made out to be worse than it is.

It's a pattern with your postings.

I have no idea what you're talking about re; Fallout.

Stock market is just dead now.... Any tips on what i put money on and cause mayhem to get the stock prices to go up?

Thanks. :)

When did I say that you said it was pointless? Read again.

Never claimed it was game breaking, it's a bigger issue for some than others depending on what aspects of the game they enjoy. Also, I've seen one Bugatti in my several hours of play. Knew better than to mod it but low and behold it disappeared from Trevor's garage in the desert. Where is one 100% parked then governor? I would like my replacement vehicle thanking you... Weird though that the only time I've seen one was somewhere like that.

Where did I make it out to be some giant game breaking bug? How am I ignoring the fact they are working on it? Didn't you even read my OP? I asked when the ETA was, if that isn't knowledge of it being in the works then I want what you're smoking.

Unfair complaint? Steam offline doesn't work for a metric **** ton of people, and it's a huge flaw. Blizzard are lazy as hell for the money they make. Max Payne 3 being broken for more than a week on PC because of an unrelated console game, isn't acceptable. The fact you claim those are 'unfair' complaints or exaggerated, is mind blowing. I'm not in the minority with them either, at least not outside of this forum.

must have been someone else then, I'm sure you can understand given the context why I'd remember it as being you.
