have some living under the skirting board downstairs, quite handy for keeping other pests at bay, though annoying when i walk down the stairs yawning and get cobweb in my gob...rofl

I have the utmost respect for them, it's just that I don't want the bloody things near me :)

Unless their webs are in an inconvenient location, they get left alone, and if they're in the house and they're below a certain size, they're no bother.
If they are above a certain size, they're getting evicted pronto.

Same goes for pretty much anything with more than 2-4 legs if it didn't have permission in the first place.

I dont get why people hate spiders they are the least harmful most helpful insects, leave them be.

They're crawling, scuttling critters with too many legs that move too quickly and they trigger ancient instincts of "dangerous thing!" even when they're not dangerous ones.

But I welcome them in my home because the ones we get here are harmless and useful. So far this year, I have seen one fly in my house and not for long. I rescue them from the bath (toilet roll - drape some over the side and the spider will soon use it as a ladder to get out) and I even leave "spider road" strips at the edges of the kitchen lino when I clean it, in case the stuff I clean it with is bad for spiders.

I explain the rules to the spiders in my home, though - no going upstairs and no moving while I can see them :) Which, presumably and hopefully coincidentally, is exactly how the spiders behave.

The picture dosnt work...

At a guess im taking it your talking about spiders lol.

Love spiders. They help keep the house clean of other ugly pests.

And to the people who stand on thrm etc etc... what if i did that to you.

We've been gettin 2-3 a day of this size. We take them outside though. A fair distance too so they dont just scamper back in.

Some of them are so big you can see their toes.

You can send him my way, I have lots of spiders in the house floating around (rarely see them but have to clean away their webs when they move) they kill flies so I love them.

*Arachnids

But yeah, Common house spider, had loads of them this year, and funnily enough, absolutely no other bugs in the house other than a few of those spindly legged spiders.

I don't even bother removing their webs until the spider's moved out :D
