Advice - Bus Lane Fine

The signage about a camera is purely a guideline and do you honestly think a sign has to be lit to be valid? Lets all go and drive at 100mph in a 40 at night if thats the case?

Certain road signs do need to be illuminated at night to be enforceable, it is one of the loop holes that has came up a few times on pepipoo.com where drivers have successfully challenged charges. I think the most common one is a no entry sign.

It's douche-bag driver like you who refuse to use bus lanes and reduce the flow of traffic at times.
Like when a single lane turns into two with the first lane being the bus lane.
People poop themselves and slow everything down as they are all trying to filter into lane two so as to avoid the bus lane, even though it's not even in use.
On the plus side, this often allows me to overtake a long queue of cars where the drivers are clueless over bus lane rules!

hahaha
if the roads are busy then 99.9% of the time the bus lane would be active so you or me wouldn't be able to use it anyway.
if the road isn't busy where is your problem
so get off your high horse
oh and next time you stuck in traffic and a motorbike filters past think of me lol because I wont be getting home late because of traffic

Glasgow council have had a lot of appeals against bus lane fines for a lot of reasons including inadequate signage.

Personally I think your right to feel aggrieved that you were given no right to appeal the fine, basically the company has assumed you guilty and paid it which seems pretty unfair.

On the actual appeal grounds GCC are hopeless, I got a letter a few months back for using my taxi in the bus lane which we are allowed to do.

The photographic evidence clearly showed my taxi plate on the vehicle but phoning GCC they said my car wasn't on their taxi database. Funnily enough they allowed me to email a photo of my taxi plate over as proof that it was a licences vehicle:rolleyes::rolleyes: considering they sent me a letter showing the. Bloody thing in the first place

I got one a few weeks back in Plymouth. It was a road I had driven down many times but now it's a bus lane and I didn't spot it. One of those things and for 30 quid I saw no point appealing it as it was my fault.

I can't remember what the road was, but we'd just been to see Bond at the big cinema in Plymouth. I've been there a few times when staying down south and it was always a through way, but it seems it's now buses only. I realised just as I got to it, but high kerbs and no junctions meant I was committed with no way to avoid driving down it. :(

Thats the one, they changed it last year so now everyone goes back out through Gydnia Way which used to be inbound traffic only. It's the site of one of the most weird set of road markings and speed limits ever - they've sperated the oncoming traffic from each other by painting huge hatch markings and then applying a 30mph speed limit. When questioned the council claimed this was for safety reasons because there are 'no barriers seperating oncoming traffic'.

Like most other roads in the UK then

So you now crawl along at 30mph on a road that sits in a cutting with no houses on it, no junctions other than sliproads, but enforced by SPECS cameras..

I wouldn't of minded, but I had my mum with me and she made me go and eat a pizza with the public in pizza shop and I also had to sit near the front in the cheap seats as it was launch night for the movie so I was a bit annoyed anyway. How you lot mix with the public is beyond me, I hate it. Some of them shout and make noise when they are out and one of the people there ate some salad FFS....which was because it was free or something called 'as much as you can eat'. I often wondered how poor people, who live on water and air get fat but now I know how.

Bacon bits!
