Hi All.

After reading up on the new game coming out soon Watchdogs im debating whether to buy it.
Its meant to be open world but im thinking will it be hacking another device every 2 seconds or will there be some fighting or shooting or driving for a good part of it?? There is no playable demo only a you tube pieced walk through.

I love games sandbox/open world games with a good storyline/missions to carry out like gta/mafia/sleeping dogs style.

Cheers.

With the current amount of disappointment in games, personally I won't be preordering it. I look forward to being proved wrong though!

Yeah I agree. I got stung bad with Rome 2, so I'm waiting for reviews from other people on these forums from now on. I don't trust review sites anymore.

No because the very concept of pre-ordering is retarded.

It does nothing but promote bad, consumer unfriendly business practices like exclusive DLC.

I am far happier waiting a few days before buying a game and knowing my purchase is justified. New games are just too expensive for the kind of crap some Devs are pulling these days.

I'm not going to pre-order it, I don't think it is worth the risk so i'll wait for some player reviews first.

I also have a feeling that it may be included by Nvidia as a free game code so I may wait to see if any cheap codes pop up on the MM.

Spot on. Its an outdated practice and it is, quite frankly, ridiculous. If you are buying a hard copy then fair enough as the shop only has a limited number of copies but digital makes the whole thing a sham. No-one even knows what the game is like yet other than tightly controlled, scripted demos so to pay for it so early is a risk I would rather not take. If they insist on this pre-order culture being here to stay then they should at least have a demo available to prove that they deserve you paying for something that dosnt even exist yet

I will never be pre-ordering a games ever again. Rome 2 was the last straw.

I will wait to see what the consesus from players is. If its good, i may buy it, if its average, i will wait till it hits the bargain bins. If its bad, i obviously wont bother.

It's up to you afterall, isn't it?

If you like what you see about the game and can base a judgement off the few trailers and game play snippets you've seen, then by all means pre-order if you really want to have the ability to have it on your doorstep day 1.

If you don't, then simply don't pre-order.

Indeed.

I wouldn't as it could well end up last minute announcement delay on pc unless they have some major new uncrackable anti piracy drm built in.

Like I been saying for a long time the pc is still going to get shafted with delayed games and no pc versions just look at gta5.

Arma 3 was the one that got me I haven't even played it more than once it's terrible feels like the player models are floating above the ground like a pole position (game) car.

I've got a bad feeling about this game. Looks interesting going by the footage so far but deep down I think it might end up being dull.

I was spot on about gta 5 not coming to pc any time soon and got laughed at on here and called dunce and idiot.

I proved them all wrong and now the threads closed so I cant gloat haha some people are just sore losers and cant take being so utterly wrong.

Never understand people who pre-order games for full price (even with vouchers of 20%-25%). Give game couple months and it will be down to £5 like Hitman and Tomb rider. Even Rome 2 went down from £45 to £20 straight after release, on the bay can be bought for £15 already. Plus it take good couple weeks or more to patch some games :P

As above, wait a while and you can then usually pick up the game for considerably less. There's always something to keep you going until then.

no point in pre order because every man and his dog needs to sell games so the offers and cheaper prices always come through before launch.
