Also thought the same, It's like the Xbox pad has no weight to the sticks, first round of BF4 was awful, couldn't aim at all, and using the triggers to aim/fire was strange.

2nd time round playing on Conquest though was great, having played a few more Xbox games i was used to the lightness, and compensated for it.

Bf4 in general was fantastic, the motion felt slower, but more fluid, climbing ladders was MUCH quicker, and makes a great difference, the sound was also fantastic, but it was running a Mixamp with some pretty good cans.

Assassins creed 4 was good, better than i expected, but much of the same, the boat section was odd, and takes some getting used to, overall detail in the game was good, one DS4 did stop working on the stand, and a mates was playing up.

The DS4 though felt great, wider than the DS3 and it does make quite a difference, the triggers are fantastic, the sticks felt tight but precise and the new dimpled tops add grip.

Forza 5 was very nice, felt quick and looks lovely, the new rumble triggers were odd, giving feedback for braking, power slides and grip loss, i raced the one lap in the Mclaren mp thing, which handles very well, the detail inside and out is amazing.

That could possibly be down to wireless interference with so many devices in one place.

They all had USB connections on them, the chap playing could move a bit, but it wouldn't fully respond, in the end they just shut the console down.

The first Xbox pad i used on BF4 felt creeky, kinda like the DS3's do now. but the others where ok.

What do the next console versions look like? I've read so many conflicting reports. Some people say they look nice, some say they look like crap.

Its not a major step up from what we have now, and when stood away from the screens, it looks really smooth, the issue when playing though, is your stood 2 foot from a 40'' screen.

Edit: It was only running on Xbox at the show, you could see each Xbox under the stand, and get to it's dashboard.

The game runs very smooth, you can tell its been upped in frame rate, using the vegetation for cover works, so you to be more aware of whats around you, I found the Spawn screen much better also, you get to pick the flag or team member you want to spawn on much quicker, and see whats happening before you spawn.

Cant wait to see how it runs on PS3 tomorrow in the Beta.

That reminds me, did you/anyone get to play Dark Souls 2? If so how was it :)?

Yes, I played it :p

It was very good! In total I got 20 minutes play time, so worth the 1 hour wait! I got to explore a lot, the game looks great, but there is an over abundance of particle effects that can sometimes make the frame rate dip a little, but it does look great :D

The game play felt very similar to Dark Souls, which was great, although they have nerfed back stabs which has already been mentioned, and rolling is a little bit different, seems to me that you roll faster and further, if when I picked the class with heavy armor (there were 4 preset classes to choose from).

I nearly defeated the boss, got it down to under 1/5's of it's total health, but unfortunately died. It was a mixture of sighs and laughs coming from the crowd behind me :D would have got an awesome t-shirt as well...

Our IT dept pretty much closed on Friday and they all went.
Now they are mixed in loyalties but all like the xbox controller over the PS one. one of them even called the PS pad dreadful and worse than the DS3 ( the guy is about as console agnostic as anyone I know as well cause he owns everything even a Wii U).

One game they all loved was Titanfall, it made the PS4 buyers to be kinda envious, and Forza was really good as well so im happy with my choice of Xbox first for now.

That said a PS4 next xmas is also looking more likely now as well.

Same, dept I work in pretty much said the same, even saying the PS4 areas were no way near as busy as the xbone stands.

Drive club on PS4 was not that good looking, screen tearing and poor shadows, one guy said the DS4 was horrific (erm ok) and generally nothing very positive from any of the guys i work with saying good things in general about PS4..

Which worried me, as I've got a PS4 on pre order. But now thinking maybe cancel it and stick with my PC. titanfall was meant to be epic..!! And thats coming for PC anyhow.

I never went to eurogamer but generally comments about PS4 have not reassured me at all sadly.

^^ Yeah but are all your IT guys PC gamers anyway?

No one had a PS4 on pre order now cancelled, rest are all pretty much in the xbox camp...

I'm the only PC gamer out of all those that went, i did wonder if the xbox guys were just being bias.. Who knows.

Need to make my mind up, I am mostly a PC gamer but always had a Playstation for the games that never make it to the PC.. Uncharted, killzone, last of us, GT series etc..

First i've heard in regards to anyone i know who went and thought the PS4 sucked. Even friends who were Xbox really liked it and some are switching and some thinking of getting both now.

I had friends go on Thursday Saturday and all said the PS4 section was packed. I went on the Friday and had to wait over an hour to get in to play the PS4 games.

Each to there own in the end though, everyone will have their own opinions and thought. Didn't see many Xbox One games but the ones i did looked good, just didn't like the controller at all.

Have to admit after all the good reports I'd read on here then to hear these chaps that went where i work pretty much saying the PS4 areas where nowhere near as busy as the xbone, well was a bit surprised.. said xbone arena had competitions, games, way more consoles, better controller, t shirts and the ps4 areas were poor and fairly low key and no way as busy..

Agreed, each to their own... Same guys have to be honest done nothing but say i'm a dead old PC gamer anyhow lol what do that know??

PS4 and my current gaming rig I felt would be perfect for me.

Well it depends if it was really like that or they are Microsoft fanboying it up.

It was a bit quieter at the PS4 area but that was because there was no one on a mic throwing t-shirts into the crowd and hyping them up. There were a lot of PS4's up and the queue was quite big over an hour long wait if not longer.

But yeah i've got my PS4 preordered so you can take this as me fanboying it up. Just giving my honest opinion both consoles will be good i just prefer the PS4 more.

I played both consoles, and found them both to have there merrits. the demo of drive club said in the top it was an early alpha build so its no wonder issues were present, but i noticed none of the tearing in my play.

The Xbox pad to me felt to small, the sticks were to light although nice and grippy, and the D pad was horrid, the rumble triggers were very good though, and it felt quite balanced.

The DS4 is a massive improvement over the DS3, being slightly wider with nice grippy handles(grips !!!) the new sticks feel more precise to being slightly tighter, and the triggers were great, but a couple did start to fail, could be early pads, lots of hours played, who knows.

The menu of the PS4 imo is better than the xbox, and even though i use W8 on my laptop, i wouldn't want to same look on my console. but it did work pretty quickly.

Did they let you play around with the console interfaces or were the options disabled? (video recording/uploading, the other social functions in the dashboard/OS etc).
