*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

If you like that then why aren't you playing W101?

They're practically two peas in a pod.

I hated the controls on W101 and basically just didn't like the idea, I actually had it on pre-order but cancelled after playing the demo. Shame :(

I think W101 is great!, most fun I've had playing a game in a while. It's probably my favourite game on the Wii U so far - Pikmin 3 progress is on hold as I can't resist firing up W101 atm :D.

The controls seem pretty solid to me - I'm using the right analogue stick to draw of course, not the pad screen.
I think drawing on the screen is really only there for casual/easy mode players, as it's much too slow/awkward to comfortably pull off combos and react.

Meh. Wii games controlled with the gamepad would have been awesome, kind of seems a pointless feature without it.

Payment taken for my Limited Edition...hoping for despatch email later on :)

Same! It's been a while since I've pre-ordered anything from anyone other than Amazon so wasn't expecting an E-mail so early in the week (since Amazon tend to do it the night before for me) :p

Really looking forward to not only getting to play Wind Waker again, but also to finally get my hands on a Wii U :D

My boy quite often wants to play Smash Bros or Mario Kart, so he has to dominate the TV to use it. Now, he's sat happy as you like, with his "own little TV".

Though he does keep trying to use the Gamepad to play!

New Super Mario 3D World Trailer.

**** just got real.

They've certainly done some excellent work since the E3 trailer...the game is absolutely stunning and it looks tremendous fun.

The lighting and backgrounds certainly add so much to the overall look...wasn't too excited for this but be sure I've changed my mind now! :D

Im actually tempted to get a wii u at somepoint. Theres some very good looking Nintendo exclusives on there. Only problem is I got a ps4 on preorder so ill have to wait probably early next year.

Does the wii u play wii games as I bought xenoblade chronicles and the last story and no console:p
