Just gor back from Bells in Swindon after my Wife found her Front Passenger wheel as flat as a pancake!...

Looks like she'd driven over a spike/nail (which had come out), so I pumped it up and drove to get a new tire!...

Anyhew...

Whilst the tire was off, the Bloke pointed out that the Rim was bent!!, Looks like my wife is a serial Kerber!!,  The Hub caps have been replaced twice, and the current ones are cracked and rattle over bumps!!!...

You can see the Bend by the Blokes hand (s'cuse the blury-cam shot)

So my Question to all the Ladiez of OcUK...

Can you Park your car without Kerbing your Wheels!!!!!????... :o :D ;)

I'm worried now as she's out in my 8 week old car with very nice New Alloys and Very New, Very Expensive (Eco) tires on!! :( :( :(

I'm a fella and I still do it sometimes. Parallel parking was always my weak point and I didn't have to do it on my driving test :D:D:D:D

I managed to get away with it on my test too! Was just before lunch time and it was busy outside the test centre so he said "ahh we won't bother with that just pull up over there it'll be fine"

I'm not that great and will sometimes nudge the curb but only at super low speeds, my next door neighbour comes barrelling down the road and smashes straight up onto the curb to park every night, god only knows how buckled the alloys will be in a few years :(

Walking in town the other day and I saw a women who had parked up then decided the bay infront was better as it was closer to the parking meter. She drover all the way along grinding her A3's alloys along the kerb. I winced as I heard the sound.

For me I have only kerbed on alloy once but I was sooo annoyed when I did. It was only a few weeks ago too :(

I did it once when I got my new car. Did realise the Alloy stuck out that much, ended up with a scratch all the way up the spoke. £60 later to fix it.

I have seen plenty of women at work just go for it without much care.

I've only managed to take some paint off the alloy with a pressure washer. (I blame the previous owners refurb ;) ). Otherwise I'm pretty careful/paranoid about kerbing!

No they cant.
My ex managed to kerb all 4 wheels of our Audi A8 2 days after we got it. Then when we got a Lexus she kerbed that within a week.
Of course, none of it was her fault or her doing.

No they can't.

My sister is useless, both front wheels have dents, broken hubcaps.

On my rear drive, there is a earth embankment 18" high, stops you going into a ditch, the splay on the hardstanding is about 18' wide, track about 12' wide, yet she cannot reverse without driving over or through this embankment.

Her excuse is not enough space to turn, yet I've had ready mixed concreted lorry, Jewsons, etc, all manage to reverse on to hardstanding with ease without destroying the embankment.

When she is out, she parks & it's so tight to the kerb, you couldn't get a fag paper between the tyre & kerb..:(

That feel when random scratches appear on the car and all you get back is "Hmm no idea how that got there?". Funny how it was fine for the years I drove it, then suddenly these appear... -_-

No

They have no mechanical sympathy and just crash through cars like they are disposable make up wipes. That's why they need bumper cars and massive over inflated tyres.

Her punto the only reason it had hubcaps was the cap went behind the bolts.

She wrecked my mazda 6 wheel f/n/s

She wrecked her zafira f/n/s wheel

The only reason she hasn't totalled the juke is the tyre is very wide in comparison to the rim

so in the stance scene, they put narrower tyres or wider rims so that they stretch to meet the edge of the rim..... can we get the opposite.... where the tyres are an inch or so wider than the rims with stupidly strong walls so rather than horrific scrapes of alloys.. it's more of a "bounce" :p sheilas wheels? ;P

I'm not innocent either as my hubs have a "few" scrapes on them :p just waiting till i get a car with alloys and my parking time will be increased due to my parking speed being less than 1 meter per hour xD ....must.....not.....hurt....the ....preciouses!
