Well I am playing this on high settings with a 965 and an MSI 6970 Lighting and it is running pretty smooth. May get a new CPU for release but will wait till then at least.

That's the end of the beta for me.

You have bound it under the mouse column in bindings? its a little confusing getting the mouse bindings right if you've not played BF3/4.

Have to say its a bit of a shock coming from COD and not having played BF proper since BF2 - nothing like as precise and fluid as COD heh, infact like BF3, etc. quite a lot of underlying latency in the controls

EDIT: Having to find an empty server to mess about tweaking controls, etc. on is a bit crap to

All bound correctly. Its firing when I jump. LOL And jump is NOT bound to fire. Buggy as hell IMO.

All works fine in BF3...

Hi guys - see attached my results from BF4 beta. I used similar settings to what I use on BF3 - I get almost constant 100-120 with drops down to 90 ish but seldom lower so have taken a big performance hit with BF4.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
44307, 603521, 32, 133, 73.414

I'm using the latest beta drivers.

All running pretty well here on my 7870.....all ultra but res only at 1680 x 1050.....getting low 50's

lovely and smooth on my 2600k (4.6) and GTX680 (1228 Core) but oh my lord..usage is insane....never seen temps so high!

Is there any way to tweak settings other than joining an (empty) server?

Gonna need to play about quite a bit to translate my normal style into something half playable with this game.

i5 2500k, HD 7870 OC and it plays great on my system, but to be honest it's just more of the same.

Pretty impressed with how it runs on my spec in sig. Running with all settings maxed except post aa. Dropping to x2 msaa will probably be a lot better again. Card usage jumps about a fair bit though.

This new vehicle "regen" system they have is idiotic. I was able to fly a viper, bail out of it close to the ground while it was on fire and at 12% "health" it landed on the ground, the fires went out and immediately started to regenerate back to 100%. I didn't even have to repair it as it seemed the instant I jumped out it just started to repair itself as it was at around 20% a few seconds later.

Is the Engineer needed at all anymore with these magic vehicles? I thought the regen was bad in BF3 but its laughable in this.

Yeah I am really worried about that too, such a stupid move bringing full regen. in for vehicles as well now, was bad enough having regen. for infantry.....

Just easy mode for the "casual players"

How are you finding it overall so far gerard? Compared to BF 3?

The more and more I watch, the less impressed I am

Will keep my pre-order until I try the beta out myself but have a funny feeling that I might just skip bf 4....

Something is up with my system then 2500k (4.4) and GTX680 and fps is all over the place and choppy as.

Doesn't seem bad so far, id say infantry combat is better than it was in BF3. Not a fan of the new magic vehicle routine, very tight map though to get a good impression of the game. With the amount of high rises people can camp on tanks are taking rpg's from above quite frequently. Be interesting to see how commander mode changes that though with the gunship and missiles that can be called in.
