I'm pretty sure I am going to be back at work when this delivery gets here due to it being shipped late and with the most annoying courier for me

I will not be able to get to the depot for weeks due to weekend commitments and the distance of 40 miles to the depot if I miss it I'd rather it just be returned.

It's a high value item but I can't find the options on the website for redelivery as I don't have the card yet.

Anyone know if there is any other option that will avoid me missing it?
I don't think there will be and maybe I should just order with someone else now?

The only option you have to stop you missing the delivery is to book a day off work and wait in.
You cant do anything until the first delivery attempt has been made.
I have tried countless times, with various couriers to get the delivery address changed to my work but for "security" reasons it needs to be delivered to the address the payment card is registered to.

Nightmare. I already had time off this week and scheduled the order delivery estimate to coincide with that.
I'll just get it returned I guess. :-\

FedEx and tnt, if I know these are the couriers I usually do not order

I usually leave a note on the door and an Ikea bag asking them to put the package in it.

Probably only really works as we live in a kind of complex where theres no through road and we're up a hill.

Might be worth a try if theres somewhere secluded? (although high value item maybe not :( )

Yeah thats risky, id rather wait for redelivery

Put a note on the door and ask them to leave with a neighbour/ in the garage.

That's what I do.

Taking a day off to wait for a delivery seems completely pointless to me, what a waste of free time.

TNT are mostly B2B, their offering isnt really targeted for domestic work, so are a little awkward to deal with from this respect.
The depot that covers where I live for instance is 40 miles from my house, every other major carrier has one within 20 miles, the closest being less than a mile away.
Tuffnells are the same, they want bulky B2B work but their sales staff will quite happily chase business they are not suited to delivering, sending lumbering seven and half tonners down country tracks and small housing estates looking for private addresses.

Seriously....

I can try with a neighbors and just hope one of the old dears are in!

Normally i would hope the courier would leave something round the back but putting a ote on the door? thievery heaven!
Its pretty good where i live but even the courier could pinch it and say it was left.

The tracking is also very bad, i have been issued a recycled ID so delivery is for someone in france a year ago!
Seriously..there must be enough numbers and letters in the world to give each a unique ID!
