Any thoughts on the Panasonic TX-P50UT50B available for £429?
the screen has no filter so it's far more reflective than a normal plasma screen.
you would have to make sure there is zero light hitting the screen from the front otherwise it will be like looking into a mirror most of the time.

that lg plasma looks like a better deal and should come with a filter i imagine, but i would double check.
why not just go over to avforums and ask what's the best tv for £500?
they will soon let you know they are the experts over there.
the UT50 uses the same panel as the ST50 and the GT50 and the VT50, it just has different electronics driving it (inferior electronics) and has some parts, features missing, like a filter for one, there's no filter on the UT, the ST has a filter, the GT50 has a better filter than the ST and the VT has an even better filter than the GT.
if you could stretch to £899 the samsung e8000 is the best tv for under £1K and beats LCD's worth double that for PQ, £ for £ it's the one to go for.
if you cannot stretch then have a look over at avforums and ask over there, or if you can control all the lighting in the room then get a UT50, but be warned it reflects like crazy unless you control the lighting.
