Would love to see some F1 racing round there. A quick wiki tells me that the main problem is the lack of facilities rather than the track safety

Its a driving resort, I dont know if they plan on hosting any races there.

The use of the terrain to get some great sweeping corners and blind turns is brilliant. One to put on the European track day shortlist, I feel.

The outer loop at Watkins Glen is more exciting than the entirety of Bilster Berg.

Having seen various racing videos of Watkins glen and having driven it in racing sims, I would have to disagree with that entirely. There's nothing wrong with Watkins glen and I genuinely like the track, but blister berg looks much better imo

It's nice that Tilke discovered elevation changes, but they are wasted on uninspired corners. For a start, it could do with less of the left-right sequences. It reminds me of the needless chicanes breaking up F1 circuit layouts.

Its about the bigger picture though. If you have a field and a wad of cash, Tilke will turn it into a world class motor sport facility within a year, better than pretty much anyone else.

The fact the layouts are all a bit pants is an aside. If you want the whole package, Tilke is your man.

wasn't there only 2 companies capable of desinging/building F1 tracks and tilke was one of them?
