I don't mind the use of lethal force at two stars, that was the same in GTA4. The annoyance is that one star seems not to last for more than a few seconds, as soon as the police have eyes on you it's two stars and they're blasting you even if you haven't used any lethal force yourself or even have a weapon visible. It's ridiculous, because then just escalates into a full-blown manhunt and you're screwed.
 
I had kind of assumed that you have a one-star level, and then if you resist it is immediately upped to 2. Is that right? Can you give yourself up at 1 star?


I don't think I have been arrested once tbh

I tried, car got ruined by helicopter so went on foot, which means police caught up.

I jumped off a cliff, looked back and saw them making their way down...then it was like a turkey shoot, one shot and they fall off the cliff, quite funny actually, if not for the helicopters, with no cover in the hills there simply no way of evading them.
 
Regarding police, when I first started playing I drove like old GTAs - fast and straight. Now I've realised that actually you don't need to drive quickly, it's more to do with looking at the map/radar to see where they are and just circling round behind them. Half the time that actually involves driving slower than I do when just going around the city normally.

The only thing I don't like is how unrealistically reckless NPC drivers are. Stop anywhere and they'll be scrapping and pushing their cars past. I've even been run over and killed by a random when I got out my car into the road before.
 
One thing that is quite poor, but is also very funny, is the taxi drivers....I got in a taxi earlier, told them the location, and they very politely said ok or whatever, then in silence proceeded to scrape right down the side of a bus, plough straight in to a police car head first, and then suddenly decided to do a u-turn and we were smacked in to by a car on the other side:D

It shows off the poor NPC driving, but it is also quite funny when that kind pf thing happens
 
Best way to avoid the police I've found is drive on the train tracks - the police seem to bug out! Even more fun is getting on the train itself and enjoy shooting down choppers with disregard :D
 
Around 50% complete so far after getting it at launch - been busy and taking it slowly.

Not looking to start online for another week at least until things have smoothed out a bit!

Regret not doing research first about stock market etc. before - everyone seems to have lots of money and I've only got around 1 mil per character and have done all the assassinations already as far as I know ...

Any other good way to make some extra money, or will I make plenty in the coming missions (ie. to buy all the properties)

haha I was up in the mountains and decided to get a taxi and make a coffee while it went downtown came back 5 minutes later to notice him sitting at a barrier when i said hurry up he smashed through the barrier and ran a few people over on the way good fun to watch.

How did you get a taxi up the mountains?? :confused:
 
I wish that I could add my own music to the game. The music stations are not too clever on this one I only like the Punk one.

It would be awesome if you could add the San Andreas music stations.
