I have a windows 7 laptop form HP with an OEM version of windows 7 premium. I haven't properly tried yet but I'd guess using the recovery would bring it back to the default windows with default language (english).

Does anyone have a LEGAL link to the windows install disk I would need to use the OEM key to install a greek version of windows 7 or are the OEM keys language specific?

Is there any other way around (NOT vistalizor or whatever it is, this laptop is going to my ladies mother in greece so I don't want activation headaches) getting most of the interface in greek short of buying an ultimate upgrade license for MUI?

You'll probably need to do some slightly illicit things to achieve this (without paying for anytime upgrade), but it is possible.

Well, as far as the re-install goes, do we have any legal links for the install disk sites. Is the OEM code HP specific or just needs any OEM install disk?

Edit: Seems the regular "official image download sites" (amazon, digital river etc) don't have Greek. Anyone know one that does?

Yeah, these are the MUI language packs for ultimate/enterprise, there's hacks to get around it (like the earlier mention of vistalizor and some manual reg hacks can do much the same) but I'd rather it was 100% kosher then IF ever needed I have a higher chance of fixing stuff over the phone.
If I can't be 100% sure how it will react if say a window update causes issue (happened to me twice so far with win 7) then I'd rather avoid. Will see. Current option of "English but make input language and a few other bits Greek" seem to kinda work. She knows the icon for skype and I'm sure I can train the one for firefox, do greek installs of those.... we'll see.
