Hi all

its just over 2 months away and the topic is a big one in our house with a 1 year old and a (soon to be) 6 year old its somthing that we obviously make a big thing of.

its also the first time in a number of years were in a position financially that my wife and i can get each other a nice present. shes already asked for a 'fitbit' as shes trying to lose a bit more weight following her 81lb loss already so thats an easy one, what im struggling with is what else to get her and what to ask for for myself from her.

do you have the same problem in your house and what do you want santa to bring you? (i suppose this is a similar thread to the pics of stuff i bought thread but a plan to get version instead)

ill appologise for any good posts that spark my interest as i may steal them and ask the wife for them for me :p

Far far to early to be discussing it, might not be to early to start buying, especially if you need to spread the payment out.

But ***** of its a few months to early to discus it and far to early with stupid shops already having christmas stuff out.

Delete thread and repost it on 1st of december.

Good lord that's an impressive amount to shift. Congratz to her.

I don't personally think it's too early to be thinking or even buying for Christmas at this point in time. Just remember the 7 p's. Prior preparation and planning prevent **** poor performance.
As for gifts, just think of her passions and try and look at gifts around those ideas. Also remember a gift doesn't have to be materialistic. Spa days and adventures out will be remembered for much longer than a bar of chocolate or bottle of perfume!

Christmas thinking in October? No wonder people are so sick of Christmas by the time it rolls round!

If you need to save up, do it on the sly, but I wouldn't be even contemplating it yet myself. :/

Yes, I have no idea what to get my mum. I leave my sisters present down to my mum as I have no clue (look at my age on profile :p).

We already have some. In fact I have a wardrobe shelf dedicated to future gifts. I buy them when I see sales or go to interesting places. He who shops with the Christmas hordes does not shop smart! I think Aristotle said that.

At CSL Sofas, our new Lowest Price Guarantee means that you'll pay the Boxing Day sale price today :p

It's never too early to start buying presents ready for xmas.

We sometimes get them in the January sales or here and there through the year and put away....
