I have come to a conclusion that my GFX card is faulty

I want to replace it, but I don't need to replace it with anything super fast, I don't mind if its a bit faster, but I want to spend as little as possible

What would you recommend to me?

thanks

not sure on budget really, ideally nothing, but I strictly wont go above £50

I bought this one second hand, so thinking of going new this time

I don't know how old these cards are, what's the replacement card for it from todays shop?

An equivalent speed card these days would probably be something like an AMD 7790 or an Nvidia 650 Ti, I imagine new they're around the £100 mark.

Second hand for £50 you could get an AMD 6870, or 560Ti.

Why did you reach that conclusion? You've not upgraded your drivers past 314.22 have you?

cant install any drivers, but when I do it crashes, when I finally got it running it would crash running bench marks or installing drivers for it

everything seems to be pointing to it and ive hard odd graphics appear when rebooting etc

I don't really want to go with amd
is there another NVidia card I could go with instead?
I'll give it some thought though

cheers

Either HIS or MSI will do fine, they're also the cheapest 7850 on OCUK.

If you want to stay with Nvidia, there isn't much else in that price range, maybe except a 650 Ti Boost for a bit more, or a 2nd hand GTX 470/480/560 Ti/570, these cards are much better.
