Crossfired 7970s and PCI-E sound card-potential performance loss?

Hi all,

I am going to buy this bundle in the next week or so,

As I understand it, I have to put my 7970s in the first and third slot which leaves me to put the ASUS Essense STX pci-e sound card in the second.

How or will this affect the bandwidth/performance of my graphics cards?

It wil take x4 lanes from your second GPU in the 3rd PCie slot, meaning you'll be running x8/x4 crossfire, which should be fine considering it's running at PCIe 3.0 depending on the resolution you're playing on.

How about the very bottom orange PCIe slot? Unlike the first three it's controlled via the chipset instead of the CPU, so no lanes will be stolen from your GPUs.
