The tax disc on my company van expired end of Sept. I assume the company has paid it just not been in the office for nearly a month to get disc and might not be in for another month.

Likely to cover 3-4k in this time so might get caught. Take it I am responsible for the fine?

A person who uses or keeps an unlicensed vehicle on a public road (ie you) could face action, as could the registered keeper of an unlicensed vehicle. Fine £200.

If it's your company's fault I would hope they would pay your fine.

A lot of employees would refuse to drive a company vehicle without a valid VEL disc

hmm away tomorrow and Sunday, might give the fleet manager a buzz tomorrow telling him get me disc or give me a pool vehicle for Mondays job. Thanks all

Why don't you just ask them to get it posted to you?

Due to my mileage i get swapped around all the time.

Had a bluemotion golf, focus estate, Transit, Vectra and now a Transit Connect :(

I do not have personal use, leave it at yard most weekends. Had this van start of sept, prob just slipped through the system

Best idea. After all, they may not of taxed it and you won;t ever know for sure unless you have the disc. Vehicle could be seized and towed away to be crushed I believe nowadays?
