Where is there a guide on the differences between FIFA 13 and 14 controls? My game did not do a tutorial or I could not see one to show new features. I find it hard to tap the ball ahead of me like we used to be able to with the right analogue stick on PS3. Also, used to be able to hold the right analogue stick towards goal so that when it got played into a player, they would flick it over the defenders head and run onto it. Can't work out how to do that either now.

From a quick play, I find that you get offside much more now in FIFA 14 more easily. Shots seem a bit different. It's obviously a much more realistic attempt at pace and physicality when running and competing for the ball. Overall different, but got used to it fairly quick and feels ok now.

"Rubber banding is real. Guys, I have had more 90th minute goals scored on me to lose and scored more 90th minute goals to win in this game than I have had in any football game in my life. I have had more swing games where you simply can't hold a lead or where I come back from a huge deficit many many times. What happens is that you often suddenly feel like your players simply can't play anymore. Passes go astray, shots go wide or direct to the keeper, or their keeper pulls off saves that make no sense based on past performances. You know when you've lost control and the game is cheating your skill."


if you cannot see it then you must be crap at the game, because i can "feel" when the game changes, all of a sudden your player's control, acceleration, flair are all better, you cannot make a wrong pass, and sometimes even become untackleable. the opposite if your winning, you cannot make some easy passes, cannot tackle or wrestle players off the ball like you did at the start, etc.

i mean the zarate 3 headed goals against me when i was winning was proof enough, all of them unstoppable.

bare in mind, i won the ps3 tourney we had on fifa a few years back, by a large margin, etc.

so im not someone who gets beat down or a newcomer to fifa.

but when i am playing someone on a similar skill level and i go ahead, i hate how the game "gifts" them easy goals to get back into it or even win.

Seen it from both teams, winning and losing - my complaint about the game has nothing to do with any supposed rubber banding or any nonsense like that, its the pace of the game, its cripplingly slow for me.
 
Anyone else notice that you are more likely to concede from after you make a substitution? I've noticed this a lot.

and headers are so OP. I was marking Palacio in the box with Ramos and Niang crossed it to find Palacio and he scored. Ramos didn't even jump. I feel we have no control over defending crosses or corners. There should be a jump button like how you can jump in a wall.
 
When you received the ball/running with the ball on FIFA 13 you could 'flick' the right analogue stick and the player would knock the ball in that direction - has this been removed from FIFA 14??
 
People seem surprised the momentum within the game along with headers are retarded, been quite the same for a while now, especially the momentum stuff with one team being completely handicapped

What about flicking it over my head etc when receiving the ball? Holding R2 seems to work for a quick 'knock on'

That's R1 isn't it? Need the pad in my hand to tell for sure... :).

R2 on its own is a small knock on to sprint. If you use the right stick as well with R2 depressed it will do the FIFA 13 knock on.
 
Hi guys is anyone having problems with freezing on entering pro clubs? Me and a friend have exactly the same problem we press pro clubs it starts to load then it just completely locks up music stops loading wheel stops spinning etc..

This is the only time it locks up in teh entire game.
We're on PS3 btw

I can definitely see what people mean when they say the AI changes momentum of your players etc. It's nothing to do with playing crap, the feeling of controlling your players completely changes, with speed of running, AI reactions and sloppy passing etc.

One example is that i went 3 -0 up in the first half of a game, and then my players started to feel like they were drunk, i won the game in the end, but the change in momentum of my players was very noticeable. I felt like i had to fight hard to control my players properly after going 3-0 up.

Another example is if i am on a winning streak, i will then eventually have a game where my players act slow and sluggish from the start of the game, exactly the same example of when i am dominating a game early on.

I am yet to have any game where it feels balanced, i am either dominating the game or getting dominated, there is no middle ground. All this imo is due to momentum changes with the AI to give the player a handicap.
 
Does anyone elses game ALWAYS try and download new teams when they do a normal 'kick off' game? I can understand every now and again....BUT ITS EVERY SINGLE TIME.
 
Apparently theres some dupe glitch going on, player prices are dropping, shadow chem cards that I sold for 5.5k the other day are goin for 500c!
 
Is there any way to turn off the "players running in sludge with flippers on" effect??

I'm assuming EA made all the other game modes pants so people would spend on FUT?
 
I really REALLY want to shoehorn a big black goalscoring BEAST into my BPL team...problem is, I enjoy BLP at 4-4-2 and he is an Ivorian in Turkey...DROGBA!! How would I go about it guys?

Also, Roses are red, Drogba is black... It's FUT 14. He's finally back...
