Hey guys,

quick question - I've lost my iPhone 5 for the second time in 12 months.

My insurance covers me until next month but when I lost it the first time I had to pay a lump sum.

Just checking that I am still insured despite loosing it twice? It's with Protect My Bubble.

so angry right now :(

Well that sucks. I'd try my best to find it before you go through insurance. Maybe someone has found it and is using it.

Was out of battery and had a pin code so very doubtful. Think i've left it on the train but can't be sure. Went bloody fabric last night.

Did it have ios7? Did you disable control centre or whatever it's called from the lock screen? IF someone has found it they could have disabled gps/etc using airplane mode.

Yes it did. They would still need to know my pin though right? i haven't blocked it just yet.

From what I remember, no need to unlock via pin to open the control centre thing up. It just slides up and you have all the settings there.

Keep an eye on icloud location.
It send you an email if the phone is wiped now so you'll know if they have factory reset it.

Any word on if I'm still insured having lost it twice?

says here...

WHAT YOUR POLICY COVERS YOU FOR
For full details of your cover please refer to your Terms and Conditions.
A. Accidental Damage
B. Theft
C. Loss (if you selected the option to pay an additional premium and insure
your gadget for loss). Loss cover is not available for iPads, Tablets,
Laptops and MacBooks
D. Breakdown
E. Liquid Damage
F. Unauthorised calls.
KEY EXCLUSIONS APPLICABLE TO YOUR POLICY
For full details of all policy exclusions please refer to the Key Exclusions
sections in your terms and conditions.

Your gadget is NOT covered for:
1. More than one claim per insured peril listed above (A-F) during any
single period of cover.

I logged my last one as stolen and that was the truth. Guessing I'll have to log this one a lost so it's in a different category?

It says per insured peril though.

i read that as, it's insured multiple times as long as the reason is different? One couldn't claim twice for lost but they could for lost and stolen?

Is protect my bubble a monthly cover policy? If so, of course you are as otherwise you'd just stop paying.

You have to find the definition of "single period of cover".
