2gb or 4gb GPU

You keep bringing this up don't you. As stated 1000 times already. Swe clockers= actual game performance. Gamegpu = sitting in an empty server in a tank in base. At the time of posting those were the only benchmarks done by Tech sites. If you can't see the difference in that then theres no hope for you.

Sorry, were you saying that there was part of my statement that was incorrect?
I didn't mention GameGPU at all (in this thread). I used a sweclockers graph, gave you credit for finding the graph and mentioned that you consider the graphs to be the most accurate.
There may have been a smidge of attitude, but that doesn't seem to be what you're complaining about.

While I would probably agree with you (and in fact recently purchased a couple of 7950s) the OP has explained that they want Nvidia cards.

And I'm giving my opinion that from a price perceptive it's a bad choice considering the bang-per-buck that's on offer from the red team at the moment.

And if he's adamant of going Nvidia a couple of 4Gb GTX 670's would be much better buys then the 760's.

And as stated another 1000 times it doesn't matter because their actual FPS readings are in line with what everybody else is getting. You're just picking holes which don't exist :).

Surely that's about as helpful as going into the BF4 BETA benchmarks thread and offer the advice that Planetside 2 runs better (and is free)?

I think the addition of the 4GB 670s advice would've made it relevant while also offering your opinion.

Well you said swe clockers were the only results that count, sarcastically while mentioning me by name. I was explaining why the gamegpu results were not a proper test.

The only comparison we have is gamegpu who didn't do a proper gameplay benchmark. So at the moment the swe clockers results are the only credible tech site testing we have. That will change once the final version comes out though.

Again, it makes no odds as their FPS readings are in line with others so therefore by definition they have tested in an OK manner.

im buying a 760 because its the best i can afford and then ill do SLI later when i have more cash for more performance and 2 760's outdoes a 780 anyways and a titan as far as AMD goes ive had 3 AMD graphics cards and had nothing but problems with them so i just dont want one

+1 At last a non AMD fan

Andi.

Correct the 690 users i spoke to on other forums did report low fps into the teens. Something i certainly don't experience with 7950's. That said this is not reflected in the gamegpu benchmark due to the fact their benchmarking procedure is not reflective of real world performance. The averages might be there or thereabouts, hard to compare to the swe clockers results who use a 1440p. The minimums from gamepgpu are next to useless in their benchmark though for reasons previously stated. We'll wait for the final build and see what happens.

Anecdotal

I think I said that according to you sweclockers were the only results to be trusted (as you say, somewhat sarcastically, and I admitted I used a bit of attitude).

To back up my point in this very same post you then say:

Which seems to be you saying that sweclockers are the only credible (trustworthy?) site?

So what did I say wrong?

Aside from Swe clockers what other results are there that aren't anecdotal

(which according to LtMatt have got this bang on and are the only site to be trusted (unless another site agrees with their finding obviously).

I was responding to this quote above and clarifying my position on my original statement.

Anyway, don't think we need to start all this again, already have 1 thread half filled with it.
Point is, the OP wanted advice on a new Nvidia card, even the swe clockers graphs show that a 2GB Nvidia card should be fine for Ultra settings (unless the final version is more demanding than the BETA).

It has also been pointed out that AMD cards offer better value.

Lol, thought as much. All mouth no trousers. :D

Confused. I answered your question. There's been tonnes of graphs posted by others in there.

Not going to trawl through pages and pages to post links in here and win the forum argument in a random, unconnected thread :).
