Hi guys, Ive noticed the last few days that my coolant ( mayhems pure h2o) has started to cloud up in the res. Thus far its not really had any effect on the cooling ability of the loop, however if this is the telltale signs of a problem on its way then id much rather jump on it now. Ive read a few threads where plasticiser has leeched from the tubing into the coolant. Could this be the case?

Sorry forgot to mention that! just mayhems biocide and pure h2o. I do have a silver killcoil also but never used it as i read that having biocide AND a killcoil can have a negative effect, although im not 100% if thats the case

leeching of the plasticiser from the tubing into the coolant?

I got this with my mayhems X1 and tygon tubing and was most disappointing as i thought they were the best :/

I got that with Tygon tubing. I would say it was mayhems also but that was the brand I had in the tubing when I noticed it, I had previously had primochill fluid in it so it could have been that.

When I exchanged my tubing for XSPC (which is great btw) I noticed that the tygon stuff had a nice tint of brown all over it. It was awful stuff.

The rads were washed out, but thats it. If it IS plasticiser leech will it only leech to a certain extent, or will it just keep getting worse and worse?

Should i just flush my loop or should i look at replacing the pipe just as a precaution?

Well its got a little bit worse since my initial post, but temps are still unaffected. Dispite this, im not totally happy with it so im going to pull it all out in the week and flush it all. From what ive read a diluted vinegar solution is what im best going for?

When my rig was originally built i only flushed the radiators - i can only put it down to contamination from the manufacturing process from the tubing/blocks, or plasticiser leech, however from what ive read the primochill advanced LRT is supposedly some of the best stuff on the market.
