Gtx titan and gtx 780 pricedrops

If 780s hit the £400 mark then I would be very tempted to bite.

If there are price cuts forget all about the GTX 780 and see if you can pick up a cheap Titan. The reason i say this is the 6gb of vram will give them a lot of future proofing and will still be going strong after the GTX 780 is history.

I'm not convinced 3gb vram is going to be pushed any time soon. Plus the Titan would have to be significantly reduced in price for it to be a consideration. I'd rather save money and overclock a 780.

To be honest I'm quite happy to wait for a worthy upgrade from my 7950 that doesn't cost the earth.

I guess Nvidia are waiting for 290x to come out with there price and then put titan to same price If its a match in performance If it is not put 780 price lower to steal sales from Amd

also If you look at 7990 price drop on OCUK to £499 and other places @ £599
It would be easy for Nvidia to have titan @ same price

This is good, I am holding out in my gpu choice to see what happens in the next month!

Have no loyalty to either brand so will sit back and watch the fanboy wars in the meantime lol

780 for £400 would be a no brainer - even if still a bit expensive for a graphics card

>£400 just seems a bit expensive to me

+1 to that. My old 580 at launch was 399.99 and I wouldn't ever consider spending more than that on a card.

Now we're seeing 499, 599 and higher I'm just dumbfounded.

I predict 290X very slightly faster than Titan, if not then almost matching it.

290X £499

Nvidia drops Titan to £550 while the 780 gets dropped to less than 290X making it the most attractive card.

Nvidia then announces new single gpu next month that's faster than 290X and Titan for £600. Nvidia steals the show again with fastest single gpu while the 780 flies off the shelves at sub 290X prices.

Ho ho ho. It must be Christmas! :D

No chance - the market says that nVidia can price higher and still sell the same (or more) amount of comparative cards to AMD. Rightly or wrongly and for whatever reason this is currently what the market is saying to AMD and NVIDIA.

I think another couple of good generations from AMD (like the 5000 and 7000 series) will stop this to a large degree, especially coupled with their excellent Gaming Evolved promotion(s).

I doubt Nvidia will drop their prices. after all the nsheep will buy whatever the cost :D

Made me think of this

And then that made me remember this I had seen a while ago.
