Gtx titan and gtx 780 pricedrops

If NVidia have a choice between two cards to market at the same price point would it not make sense to go for the faster one.

Yes of course but only if they were similarly priced. It would depend on the price difference would it not, what I'm saying is, it would be very unlikely for Nvidia to reduce Titan to similar price of 780 without reducing the 780's price, so again it would depend on how big the gap was between the two before we could consider whether the 780 would be pointless, if you know what I mean, or maybe I should just shut up because I've been on the source :D

Which is why I mentioned the price differential a few posts back. If both the Titan and 780 get price drops then the 780 is far from pointless, particularly if there is still a £150-200 price difference between the two.

The Titan's 6gb vram won't be important to many, and the small performance differential between the Titan and 780 means the price premium for the Titan isn't worth paying for.

Indeed, I could have bought a Titan but like many, after seeing the benchmarks and not gushing over the irrelevant VRAM number (in this scenario) it was the obvious choice.
