After using my Corsair 7.1 Dolby Virtual headset and very happy with it.. I now looking at upgrading to a better set with a Sound card to boost it...

Question
Are all headsets virtual 5.1/7.1 or is they true 7.1 headphones?

If I buy a Sound card with DTS Connect or Dolby Live can I get a Headset witch supports theses?

All in all Whats best on offer, if no True 7.1 headset whats a better Headset plus sound card?

Sound card must be PCi 1x

Thanks

Be careful with that combo.
On mine the colours aren't what they should be.

make sure you download the Asus drivers and go through listening to each channel to ensure it's connected correctly.

Just purely out of interest, what do you think of them Roccat Kave? I'm sure the sound card is good though, amazed with my DX 7.1.

I did once purchase a paid of them Roccat Kave's, but they physically hurt my head because they weigh as much as a fridge. I'm now using my Xonar DX 7.1 with Sennheiser PC 360's.

They are too heavy, I couldn't tell where surround was coming from and blew the microphone out because I couldn't tell the difference between teal and cyan. I wouldn't buy another pair.

So far I loving them very happy with what I got, Sound card helps with my Home theater system also having DTS and Dolby Live.

That was one thing I was abit worried about when buy the weight.. But I dont find them that bad tbh..

Its my first day with them so far so just in the braking in point and finding the correct settings.

The Bass on this Headset is shockingly Good :D the rumble works superb.

Tiamat 7.1 is a true 7.1 headset, runs as you'd expect 7 (or 10?) small speakers really good in stereo though as it combines all the channels and works really well with the subs on it.
