They are still not answering the question outright but are very much hinting that way, it's pretty clear from the way they are answering questions about it that they are simply not allowed to confirm it for other consoles.

Yes, it seems pretty clear if you read between the lines.
Ah, so you're still guessing?

What do you think the reason for not saying which platforms will have dedicated servers apart from XB1 is (assuming they all have them)? There has to be some reason right?

LMAO...make up stuff much do you?

Seriously, the amount of utter BS that has gone on about the XB1 and how much of it has had to be called by MS is unheard of, all sourced from people making utter kack up just "cause they think so".

You don't know JACK for certain.

Take that dualshock out of your ass.

Tell me what reason Activision/IW would have to say dedicated servers are on XB1, then when asked if they were on other platforms they said "We can't talk about that at the moment".

How about as simple as, they KNEW at that time they would have dedicated servers for XB1 titles, they didnt know at the time what was happening with other systems...now they do.

How about that?

Nope. If that was the case, they could simply come out now and say that they have dedicated servers for the PS4, or that they don't. They would have no need to hint around it.

The simple fact is that MS entered into an agreement with IW/Activision for some exclusivity with Call of Duty. Part of that agreement seems to be that IW/Activision promote the dedicated servers for the Xbox One, while not mentioning if it has similar features for the PS4. I don't see what the big deal about this is to be honest. Both Sony and MS sign exclusive deals all the time (such as Sony getting exclusive Watch Dog content), and both companies use it to promote their console. What's the big fuss about this particular deal?

It looks more to me that MS at the time said, we have X thousand servers ready to go, same thing as Titan Fall where they are offering them cheaper to host games on.

I don't believe Sony have the same kind of networking as MS and just cant say the same right now.
The simple fact is this might just be nothing, as it's just someone who works lowly at the company hearing things about the office, with absolutely nothing to back it up.
Or it might be Sony are working away to get the same kind of on-line offerings.

You really think that IW would only just now decide to use dedicated servers on all platforms a few weeks from release? I guess al the net code for the other consoles must have been scrapped a week or so ago as they only just found out they could use dedicated servers on those platforms?
It was never mentioned as XB1 only just that that version would have dedicated servers, they never mentioned it coming to any other systems in the same conference, but know one mentions other consoles at their conference. Its quite normal practice to have an exclusive advertising etc, look at Diablo 3 was mentioned only in Sony, yet still came to the 360.
It does amuse me that many think that dedicated servers are something new in the console business Sony had many games with dedicated servers as MS had a few as well.

What does this post even mean?

You are aware Azure is a service Sony could use if they wanted to?

What simple fact about someone in the office?

What advertising, what have MS "bought"?..dropping it at one conference and some talk of it after? That not money dropping to get better coverage, thats not even close.

SO why don't Sony drop their own "hints", or have or let people read "between the lines" you think after all the reactive only announcements they have made they wouldn't drop something similar, come on.

All you have got is a vague Tweet from people about things, nothing been confirmed in any way as far as I have read.

Yet people instantly think MS has paid millions so they could talk about it once very quickly at their conference whilst talking up their server space.

Maybe when MS actually start doing Youtube ad and TV spots selling their console with COD right beside and some over bearing US voice mentions about "dedicated servers for the best possible on-line gaming", then ill see some money spent, so far, nothing of that kind what so ever.

All your doing now is warping what reality has to offer to fit in with you own world.

All CODs for the past 4-5 years have been advertised only for the xbox, Fifa 14 ads have all been for the xbox, much like Assassins Creed is normally advertised as on the Play station consoles, just to name a few.

The vague tweet you mention, are you aware of who the person is who tweeted it?

Did anyone mention millions? No they didn't.

Yea some fella pathetically trying to be vague, but at the same time trying to tell the whole world, yet, he's not allowed to talk about, either grow a pair and just say or say nothing.

Still doesnt matter, trying to say their some big thing going on with MS to pay to be able to drop that in one sentence is reaching..at best.

How much then, seeing as you KNOW, 500k?...250k with no disclosure about what other rivals are doing?, how much do you think that would cost?

Yea, none of them I heard of talked about using dedicated servers for that particular game, games "more" associated with consoles is nothing new, hell GTAv in every ad I have seen is sitting with a PS3, its not what we are talking about though.

I think you guys should stop arguing with cu3ed, at this point it just looks like a desperate defense of Microsoft by a fanboy as this point, even though nobody really cares that Microsoft paid for this anyway.

I think it's a ridiculously pointless debate any way. I hope the PS4 users get dedicated servers just like the Xbox One users will. It will make the gameplay better for everyone involved. That is absolutely no bad thing. If some people now decide to go back to PS4 because one particular game is now going to have dedicated servers on the PS4, I'd speculate that the PS4 was the console they wanted all along anyway.

Personally, I think anyone basing their console choice simply on Call of Duty, considering the way the game has gone over the past few versions, needs their head examining, but each to their own ;)
