High Office Chairs

I need a replacement office chair, but I need to have the seat height at 600mm.

What I have now only goes up to 500mm which means I am too low down for the level of the keyboard (which sits above my elbow level).

I can't seem to find any decent chairs with the seat level at 600mm (or thereabouts), only lower ones and then really high stools.

Has anyone else had a similar purchase to make and can make a recommendation? I looked at some of the other office chair threads but couldnt see any.

My Ikea Markus is at 550mm at full height. The arms are at about 770mm.

Look under "draughtsman chair" and "laboratory chair". You won't find them in high-street stores (at least, not any which are any good) but will need to look at specialists.

Thanks for the replies. I managed to find a store which will change over the gas strut to a 600mm one on most of what they sell, so good result in the end!

This really a question for BDEE as I'm in the same situation and was wondering which store it was that could swap out the cylinder for you?

O hai.

In the end I ordered a replacement gas cylinder from eBay for like £17 and just swapped it myself.
