E92 335i Coupe buying advice (dealer refusing to replace tyre)

What month/year did the new iDrive system arrive?

I know this sounds a bit odd but in some ways I prefer the sleeper look of the SE compared to the M Sport which is probably a good thing because all of the M Sport 335i's I have seen have been out of my budget or high mileage.

Meh get the £350 BMW Aero front skirt and blacken out the bottom grilles and you have a front end which looks better than an Msport IMO.

The 335 comes with all the good M Sport bits(seats and suspension) regardless of trim level anyway!

Tbh I think they've priced that quite low. Out of interest how long has it been there? Theyll have told you it's only been in a week but have you any indication when it actually came in. I would expect a BMW dealer to price that at £14k. I bet it's been there weeks and they've been reducing the price to shift it and they're profit margins are being cut fine.

I would still want 6months tax and a tyre at least though. Or if they didn't want to give out 6months tax because it costs them exactly what it costs everyone else, maybe get another year warranty or a free service thrown in.

Btw have you checked everything on the service end has been done to schedule?

They said it arrived at the weekend which I do believe because I've been searching every couple of days and it hadn't been properly valeted when I first saw it. I have checked the service schedule and it's all fine.

It's Monaco blue with black leather.

Not sure I like those alloys on it much though but at least they wont crack I guess!

Seems like a good deal. They're still making money it for sure, but push for the tyres considering that was a condition of you putting down a deposit.

I'm done in this thread.

:D

I'm only not a fan because the ones I have seen with light coloured interiors always have marks and/or look dirty. If they've been looked after then great. Not for me personally.

Regarding the wheels, I'm not a fan of those either tbh. I will most likely replace them and ditch the run flat tyres (ironic I know!) eventually.

Hmmm sounds like you did quite well when you bought your BMW a couple of years ago. :D

Perhaps he thinks they've all appreciated because £14k for a 6.5 year old 3 Series sounds a bit OTT to me. I'm pretty sure I looked at a main dealer SE for £15k 2.5 years ago!

Feel free to look again now then and you'll see exactly what i'm saying.

We both know that £14k is a much much better estimate for a BMW dealer to sell a 1 ownered, 44k, FBMWSH, pristine 335i with lots of kit, rather than £10k, which is getting towards the bottom end of the private E92 335i market, let alone the dealer market!

Hmmm - i need little boosts! That £470 VED and £370 warranty premium (both of which are needed in the next month!) starts to sting a little the 3rd time round! But hell, what am i going to do? I really love the car still after 2 years (to the day??)!

It's closer to 7 years old than it is 6 years old though!? How can it possibly be worth that, who is paying £14,000 for an almost 7 year old 3 Series!?

This is the problem I'm having at the moment. I'm looking at a minimum of £14k for a private 2007 lowish mileage (40k) well-specced 335i M Sport, and it just seems wrong for a 7 year old car! Dealers are asking up to £17k for similar vehicles which I simply refuse to pay.

It sounds like you got a cracking deal when you purchased yours.

I did not know that the 335i market was doing well, maybe its time to unload my E93 335i.
