Ram and motherboard compatible?

Just bought some CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair ram, DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 with a Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI HERO Intel Z87 motherboard.

The ram doesn't appear on the compatibility list, should I be worried?

The CLD... and CLX... versions do though, so am I to just assume they are the same and just didn't physically test the low profile version; surely only the heat sink is different?
 
No you made a very big mistake, the system will combust when you turn it on for the first time ;)

But seriously don't worry, shouldn't be an issue. I don't really check ram compatibility and not had an issues thus far.
 
haha thanks, strangely I do have a fear of everything combusting on me so thought it worth checking. Overclockers have despatched the bits I've ordered from them (sorry, some parts were too much so had to buy them else where, but not much) so fingers crossed I can get this running this weekend...or I'll be down at overclockers buying the other bits the other retailers don't deliver on time!

Shopping around to stretch your budget is important, but did you factor in the free haribo that comes in each OCuk delivery?

I think now you may consider returning those competitor goods and placing another OCuk order!
