hi guys,

I know there are plenty of threads here covering recommendations for this sized telly, however all the models favoured (e8000, gt50 etc..) now all seem to be unavailable, so I'm wondering what the best model of the moment is?

I have around a grand (£1300 max ideally but in no hurry to spend that if I can get a decent set for £800 or whatever) to spare, room is light controllable so please let me know your opinions.

thanks in advance for your help :)

Im in the same situation.

Been looking at a number of sets but keep coming back to the SE55f6670 / SE55f6740

As soon as payday comes around Ill be looking to pricematch this with crampton and moore for £1250 to get the warranty.

Lots of people seem to be reccomending the panny gt60 if you want a plasma set.

Samsung seems to have the best smart services which keeps bringing me back to them despite the fact it'l be hooked up to a pc at all times anyway and will probably never get used.

If LED is the way you want to go then I would also suggest the Samsung 6670 / 6740. The only difference between them is the stand colour.

The image quality is up there, it looks amazing, has all the catch up apps, active 3D, built in wireless and comes with the touch pad remote.

Don't use settings from other calibrated tvs it doesn't work that way.

Keep them stock or self calibrate or get a professional calibration.

Using someone else's settings is like using someone else's lottery numbers.
