Best Racing Games for Logitech G25?

You can get GTR Evolution which comes with Race 07 here for £2.60 (plus a few other games :D)

I recommend Drit 3, F1 2012/2013 and Grid 2 for some entertaing racing experience with a wheel. But for the more serious cockpit type experience go with iracing, pCars, rFactor 2 and GTR. Most need mods to get the best out of them but should all be some good fun!

All depends if you want a simulation or more arcade experience.

If you want somewhere inbetween, Race 07 for sure.

I'd hope someone going to the expensive of getting a good wheel and planning on building a racing cockpit would not be doing it for arcade racers

I had great fun in the arcades Playing Sega Rally and Out Run :)

As much as I like simulations, nothing wrong with Arcades.

For me the state of the art in FFB is to be found by spending a small amount on the dated but still impressive NKPro which gives you access to the rather dull track but technically impressive Assetto Corsa demo.

rFactor2 is amazing once you have it set up right and have found the best track mods (the Clio is an absolute blast to drive), but the graphics can be disappointing if you can't run it maxxed out. And iRacing is great if you have plenty of self control (both on track and in wallet) and want to race at peak European times. Off peak it can be a bit of a wasteland in most series, but the basic Rookie content is usually busy even then. The core sim code is great, but it's a "racing MMO", which is fine if you like the repetitive grind of MMOs. The trick is just to relax and enjoy each race, and not treat it like there are goals to achieve or aim for. Those goals are illusory unless your name's Greger Huttu or Ray Alfala. :-)

I'm also going to say that some of my best FFB experiences have been with my G25 plugged into my PS3 for GT5. The Nordschleife challenge is particularly satisfying in some cars, and is right up there towards the top of my best ever sim racing experiences.

Richard Burns Rally is -- as mentioned above -- also worth tracking down, though setting it up can be a bit of a pain.

lol at the iracing love. dirt 3 is good if set up right.

also i have played iracing and sorry to say richard burns is better in everyway especially with the 2013 mod installed.

Why would you even compare rbr to iracing ?????? They aren't even remotely similar.

As for it being better than iracing in every way... Well that's just the most obvious load of bs I've read in a long time.

GTR 2 is pretty good and has a massive online modding family its not the best racing game these days but still deffo give it a try as it can be picked up for about £5-7 these days.

Project C.A.R.S is another one its actually still a closed beta that you have to pay for.

rFactor 2 should be epic in a cockpit.

F1 201* is a great way to waste a few hours just try to avoid the noobs that wreck nearly every other race and create a trusted private lobby.

Thanks Everyone, this is very useful. although some of you may disagree in what is good, it does show there is a vast amount of racing games out there.

The Cockpit will be used for both Proper simulation and the Arcade experience (recent and retro) - I guess it depends on how much spare time I am allowed to have ;)

The project may take a few months but am getting there. pics soon.... thanks again

'Bluebook' that looks awesome. I'm also very interested in finding out whether you got a template for those parts or if you designed it yourself. I'd be really interested in seeing that put together :)

rFactor & GT5 are my recommendations.

iRacing is good, but most of the cars aren't very interesting to me so killed my interest in the game. Not enough variation imo

Goodness, chill! People were just suggesting a game that works amazingly with the G25 if the OP does happen to have a PS3. So what if it's not the console section?

Re-read previous post.

You don't have to add "on PC" cause it is the PC games section which is all about PC games believe it or not. Re-read my post pls, console games has it's own section and if console racing games need to be asked for then the console games section is available for that very reason.
