Best Racing Games for Logitech G25?

Because dear boy, when I am in a PC section I expect to see PC stuff not stuff about consoles which OCUK has provided us with a section for doing just that.

lol at the iracing love. dirt 3 is good if set up right.

also i have played iracing and sorry to say richard burns is better in everyway especially with the 2013 mod installed.

Well done on trying Iracing DG and well done on being a simpleton.

Tried iRacing years back and whilst it felt very accurate, I didn't find it much fun. Think it's definitely one you need to put in a lot of time into to really enjoy.

Race07/GTR Evo are heaps of fun. Realistic enough that you need to drive properly to be fast, but forgiving enough that you can chuck the cars around a bit.

As for Dirt3, once again epic fun. It looks pretty, the sound is good, the game feels fast and the support for the G25 is nice. The few times I've played it I've had a huge grin on my face. To me it brings back the nostalgia of when I used to play Sega Rally in an arcade as a kid!

Templates (Google RICMOTECH) I wont place the link here because although they mainly sell Cockpits, they do sell some computer parts. I just hope it turns out ok ! Timber cost £48 ! I have a car seat too :)

The templates cost around £30 though form the US....

I'll post a proper project log later on just like I did with my Pinball machine and other crazy projects ;)

Looking to get into racing games on PC since moving from console where I played every racing game you can think off. What Racing Wheel do people recommend along with games? I'm looking at racing/drifting. A few i've seen mentioned are LFS, Iracing and Rfactor .

didn't he once say grid 2 was better than iracing

never said grid 2 was better  misquoted by the some people as always :p

also put the time into RBR and for pure sim quality's sorry iracing hasn't got a patch on it. a lot like iracing, i get that but... sorry its not as good as rbr in my opinion. i have my opinion you have yours stop trying hyperbole iracing everywhere.

good luck with the project.

I've read that sentence 4 times now and I still can't believe it xD Commenting about other users hyperboling games? xD Cancel the Friday joke thread!!!

I think when it comes to choosing a game you just need to go for what type or cars you like and what type of experience you want. I used to be a massive sim nut but I'm starting to leave that behind a bit now because I prefer the quicker experiences with less of a learning curve. Its a shame these experiences aren't often shaped around racing wheels so the likes for NFS, Flatout, Test Drive unlimited and other very arcadey games they often feel awful in a cockpit setup! That is why I find Dirt and such enjoyable as for me it hits that nostalgia trip of going to the beach and playing some Daytona/Sega Rally which are two other games you could setup if you know where to look :)

I've always wanted a cockpit style arcade cabinet myself I just don't have the room for it though! Plus for the sims the amount of modding and tweaking of settings you need to do might make it frustrating on a cockpit setup.

You cannot possibly compare a rally and track sim and claim one is 'better in every way'. RBR is the best for realism in rallying and iracing for track (imo) but it's like chalk and cheese they are completely different things.

I've been thinking of buying a wheel myself and I had intended to get CARS - I'm surprised it isn't top of the list - it looks stunning.

its ****, the physics are terrible and it probably has the most overhyped graphics of all time... it looks NOTHING like the bullshot screenshots which get posted everywhere.
