Roughly spending about £20 a week (im saving up) sometimes get jacket potato and 2 fillings, soup, and every Friday I get a proper meal

Not many food places here so have either option of Mcdonald's (maybe once a week if that) or the rip off cafe apart of the business complex.

What about you guys, am I eating like a peasant? :p

Used to be about the same, £20 but then I stopped being lazy and made my own, this was healthier and way cheaper.

£4 on lactose free milk in the morning - 3 litres worth, generally.
£3 on a meal deal.

Sometimes it can be
£3 on lactose free milk, £3 on a smoothie
£5-6 on a mexican wrap or subway

:(

(and yes, I drink 3 litres of lactofree a day - have trouble keeping weight on, this is a temporary fix)

Probably about £20-25. Used to be a lot higher when I worked in central London, maybe £40-50. Totally worth it though. I miss having to many wonderful lunch options.

Lucky for me work provides milk so I always have my brekkie in office.

They dont provide lactose free milk though so cant help. :(

I should make my own lunch, but I get bored of the same food pretty quickly!

studying and working part time so I have to eat cheaply! soup/beans with bread/toast at work and tend to have a greggs on friday, around £8/9 for the week

I tend not to eat much at work. But when i do it'll just be a couple of sandwiches.

I begrudge paying shop prices for sandwiches when i can make my own, which will probably be more filling, healthy for a lot less money.

Also, if we have peft over pasta or something similar i'd take that in too.

When I ran my sandwich van people would spend £2-£5 a day on lunch, factory and outdoor workers tend to spend the most as they got something hot to eat now and something for later.

Some people got told by their wives they wasn't to use the van anymore as they were spending £100+ a month on lunches :p

My lunch (other than today) is purchased through my weekly shop and as such I make my lunch daily.

In fact both myself and my other half take in our lunches.

Because I buy meat in bulk and freeze it, and I only need veg and similar during the week, our weekly lunch bill is probably about £15 for both of us.

I seldom ever buy lunch. Some of the guys here buy their lunch every day - that's at least £5 a day. Which is a lot of money when you could half that easily.

50 quid Monday to Friday. I dine in a restaurant every day. I usually order a jug of iced water rather than pay silly money for soft drinks at restaurant prices.

ive always been lucky to have an oven and microwave where i work.

i usually have cerial for first break, then lunch i either get panini from canteen, chip shop, make my own jacket potato on the oven, or cook a pizza/microwave meal in oven..

i spend average £10-£15 a week on food at work
