How much do you spend on lunch?

For a week:
1 loaf of bread a week - £1.20
5x laughing cow cheese spread - £0.65 (equivalent grated cheese or salad filling around same cost)
5x bananas - £0.85
Two lots of fruit from M&S 2x for £4 deals

£6.70 or £1.34/day

I used to buy lunch every day at £5-6 a day. Nearly £120/month saved just there!

Probably about £5-8 a week. Make mine and take it in.

Bread - £1
Cheese/Tikka Sandwich filler - £2-3
Coleslaw - £1 (depends if not using sandwich filler)
Drink - £1.50 (dilute juice)
Pack of Chocolate bars - £1 (use one bar a day)

Generally take my own stuff in so very little. With the father being a butcher i've always got a load of meat anyway so usually only need rice/bread/veg or whatever.

Tastes better than the canteen here anyway.

About £40/£50 a week on food & drink.

£5 for coffee a day (2 large ones) & £5 for lunch (ish, cost varies).

I should really start making lunch, but after work, gym, swimming, going out, drawing, painting & playing guitar I don't have the time to be totally honest.

The logic continues in my head like this...

So what am I gonna spend this fortune on? I'd quite like better lunches. :D

living dangerously!

Tastes nice so I don't really mind! Don't have canteen facilities here and the local Spars' premade food is horrible.

£3-4 for a sandwich from the shop is a joke. I only ever buy their premade pasta things if I'm desperate and didn't bring anything in.

Exactly my thoughts!

Lunch is a big meal, I'd rather spend some money on it and have a tasty, healthy option... Rather than bread and sandwich filler. Gross.

I try not to eat out when working, it is so dear byt the time you bought a few bits. Could easily do £4-6 a day which I consider to be quite a lot.

Usually just take some fruit and a snack and hope I last :)

Make time! Although your drawings are awesome and socialising is important.

If you cut that by half you could save over £1,000 a year. That's quite something. :)

Quite like the idea of sandwich fillers, I may try this!
