How much do you spend on lunch?

I make my own lunches, although tempted to switch back to the work café now there's a new chef in. Probably costs a bit under £10 a week to make my own, and work café is subsidised so wouldn't be much more.

I used to spend about £6 a day on pasta/sandwiches, drink, fruit, nuts then £2 on a Starbucks coffee

I now take healthy food in and buy Carte Noire instant coffee - £2 last about 2 weeks and taste loads better than Starbucks

This this this.

I used to buy Nero every morning and afternoon and buy sandwiches too. I can't think how much money I wasted.

Now I buy a jar of Kenco which costs me £4 and lasts me about three weeks, the same price as less than two Nero coffees. Equivalent at Nero is over £30.

Lunch costs me normally about £3 a day. If I wasn't so lazy and made my own food at home I'm sure I'd save more.

Starbucks tastes like utter ****e and always has done.

At my previous office, used to be about on average £7-£15/20 a day on lunch. Fitzrovia (central london) is possibly the worst place to work if you like a good bit of grub. So many places to eat there it's unreal.

At my current office we have breakfast & lunch provided for us but still sometimes get out of the office once or twice a week so currently its about £30~ a week.

But we are moving to new offices in a couple weeks and will only be providing breakfasts so I guess will be going back to old ways :/

I takes no effort at all to make an evening meal and make enough for lunch the next day too. Cooking a chicken breast or 2, throw one more in for lunch the next day with extra veg or whatever. Then put in a seal container and take in

Add a banana and a couple of eggs for a snack and the day more is more than sorted (and ends up costing about £2)

When I am away delivering training I claim expenses; so only time I pay for lunch is when I work from home which is then much cheaper.

Yeah, but so does kenco. :)

Around £15 to £20. Usually a Tesco's meal deal on Tue and Fri, then something from Waitrose / M&S to eat at home Mon, Wed, Thur.

If I don't have time to do a packed lunch then I'll go up the street to Greggs and spend £5.

Friday's are our fat day so it could be kfc / mcd / chinese / chip shop which depending if there's just two or three of us effects cost

About £45 per month now. Had enough of eating processed food so when I got paid last month I did a big shop of fresh food and cooked 5 different meals each serving 4 people. Each one was divided into 4 and went into tupperware in the freezer and I've had a nice homecooked meal at work every day since. Heated up in the microwave it still tastes great and a different one each day of the week. Quality ingredients too mmm! :)

Normally take lunch with me as we normally have it on station. If I have to have it off station we get £5 lunch allowance.

Normally 70p Can of pop, 60p bag of crisps and a 70p choc bar.

Nothing. I get my lunch provided for free. If I work a 4 hour shift I can take something home with me for nothing.

I've never had to pay for lunch in any of my jobs. Perks of working with food :)

I buy pre-made food (can't be arsed making sandwiches everyday) from the supermarket that lasts until Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday I treat myself with a trip to the burger van. They do melted cheese with Chorizo and barbecue sauce but I try not to have it to often since it's greasy. Must spend about roughly £10 at the supermarket and £5-6 at the burger van each week.

£2 a day or so for a freshly baked bagette filled with ham and cheese, 30p for a bottle of water.

So, just shy of £15 a week.

My breakfast for a month costs me roughly £3-4 (porridge with milk)
Lunch when I'm in work is about £5 for the week..
bread, ham, cheese, salad cheap chocolate bar, crisps, apple/banana

This helps maximise the amount of money I can save for holidays and spend on beer

£3 to £5 a day probably. £3 meal deal at Tesco and roll and bacon+ can of coke in the morning.

£5 in petrol it seems too.

Yes I need to grow up and have breakfast in the house and take a lunch in.

Spent about £42 over the last week. I discovered a Wetherspoon I didn't know was there and had the £12 Angus Steak on Wednesday and Friday.

Our canteen is subsidised by work. £1.20 a day. This week I had lamb casserole, braised steak with veg, fish and chips, sweet and sour pork and ham egg and chips. Not huge portions but generally very nice, don't think I could do better for the money!
