I have a theory on those who cheat in games such as bf3. Ill keep it clean as this is a family friendly forum. Personally i think those that cheat are a wee bit masochistic. They get off on people ****ging them off for being low lifes, theyre so far gone in their perverse ways they actually go to sites to pay for hacks to continue their sick addiction to being ****ged of.:D
 
In bfbc2 i played agressive recon, g3 assault rifle, x4 scope. Or if i fancied a challenge. M1 garand from ww2, on sqdm i owned more people than i could count with that old ancient gun. + recon had c4, chasing tanks/apc's was the best fun ever in a bf game.
 
Petey mate, i was dire at bfbc2, dire at bf3 and still the same in this bf4 beta. But the fun i get makes up for it all. Now just need to get the cpu oc sorted on this 4770k. Its more bothersome than i can be bothered with lol.:D
 
Same here, I'm reasonably awful but still having fun :o

By average recon player, I meant the usual selfish Sir Campalot's that don't give a monkey's about objectives, team play, spotting etc...
Aggressive recon guys are all cool in my book.
 
Tbh i cant wait for the release of the full game. But inbetween that, ive got my sigts set on a 27" monitor. My gain for games, local publicans loss in beer and whiskey sales.

Bf4 @2560x1440, will be sweet. Love playing as engineer. Lay down mines, run away and wait for that wee message on screen.:D setter22 on battlelog mate if you fancy a game or two some night.:)
 
Played a 64 player Obliteration game. Holy crap. Operation 'Hey guys shoot at me! over here!'. Never seen such a fast paced and manic 44 minutes in my life. People were actively AVOIDING picking up the bomb as they didn't want 32 opposing players all shooting at them! It was like 'We have the bomb. The bomb has been dropped. They have the bomb. The bomb has been dropped. We have the bomb. The bomb has been dropped.' And this map really isn't suited to it. People quickly realised NOT to take the tower down as you could reach almost the whole map by just partachuting from the top.

Played a 32 player Oblit round and it was much better. We had two squads on TS all on the same side. It's amazing what an organised team communicating with each other can do in Oblit. We won 5 games in a row.

It seems the baserapers are back in action... Just had a round where an enemy chopper just hung around waiting for heli's to respawn, and if he wasn't there, they had a couple of guys on the nearest roof (without elevator access) to take them out with rockets as soon as they took off.

Still no recons on our team that could figure out how to PLD and tank drivers that drive past home bases that are under attack in order to shoot the windows out of random buildings and shoot shells across the bay...

These guys make me look good, and that ain't easy.

Ah well, time for some predictable F1 :)
 
Obliteration is so easy.

Step 1: Collect bomb
Step 2: Fight your way to Charlie Tower and go up in the lift
Step 3: Parachute directly to MCOM
Step 4: Arm and defend
Step 5: Rinse and repeat
Step 6: Profit $$$

Plus the bomb explodes so quickly, there's virtually no way to defuse unless you get there within a few seconds of the plant.
 
had my first taste of obliteration last night with combat-evolved. Didnt have a clue for the first few minutes so just tried to kill things without worrying about the bomb. Got the hang of it though , just try to keep 'combat' alive and he went and planted the bombs ..simple :D

I agree about the damn snipers not using the pld enough. Tanks everywhere and pesky helis flying about unchallenged...just light them up and within seconds they'll be toast.

I think I'll tune in for this.

I've been watching some live BF4 streams on Twitch. Quite interesting to see how other people play the game tactically. I was actually watching a woman playing last night. She was way better than I am. :o
 
So many crashes since the patch yesterday for me, it's normally at least once every game if not every other on loading.

I'll die and randomly crash with the screen freezing or normally just when loading up a new round.
