Hi guys.

On the front page the description says

You'll never see an offer like this again, an Asus HD 7970 TOP for under £200 - BUY NOW!!!

But as far as I can see the price is 209.99.

Does anyone know whats up?

I bought the Platinum version a couple of hours ago at £235.99 & its now £229, im guessing the price is going to drop some more :(

Edit: over it now, im getting one hell of a card for cheap so turning that frown upside down

Hi there

A bit of an error by me on the prices, TOP was too low on stock in the end to offer a sub £200 price.

However tweaked the Matrix Platinum price down, it is now £221.99 which is the cheapest its ever being anywhere. :)

P.S. Drop a post in CS forum and they will refund the difference as your order would not have shipped yet. :)

Oh my, I just bought one, talk about a reflex purchase. Don't know if it fits, have enough power adapters, who cares. Happy days!!!!!!

I want to buy a Matrix now, can someone tell me if I can hook this up fine without any extra connectors?

I currently have a 6950 and this is connected using an Antec TruePower 650? Do I have the correct power cables on this or not?

cheers

yes, just looked, I have two 6 pin being used and a 2 pin free dangling on the PCIE cable. Are there 6 pin to 8 pin adaptors or something?

There are converters yes but I am not 100% sure if it will work, it will depend on the card/PSU in use I guess.

AFAIK 8 pin connectors are rated at 150W, whereas 6 pin only 75W, so even with an adapter there might not be enough power going to the card?

Perhaps someone on the forum has first hand experience?
