I am thinking of upgrading to this card and I see it requires 2x 8 pin connectors. my PSU has 1x 8 pin connector can I use this for the GPU or is that not intended for that I'm not sure?

I have 2X6 pin connected right now or can I just use an adapter to convert them to 8 pin I am a bit confused.

:o had to reply cause i noticed your using a cheap of the cheap cheap cheap cheapest brand i have ever seen JEANTECH lol

i would if i was you invest in a new psu proper branded cause that thing is gonna blow up they use very cheap components in there psu and most of them are not even rated at what they say on the label........

but if you must use it you will need to get 2x molex to 8pin adapters... though just a warning i would invest in a new psu sharpish.

I don't understand why people say it's cheap because it wasn't lol.

I have used it for nearly 5 years with top graphics cards and other components and never had an issue. Also it is fully modular there are no cables hanging from it and had a power usage monitor on the back and I don't see other expensive power supplies that are even fully modular.

It has got 8 pin connectors that connect directly but you only get one in the box I think I'll have to check so I just need to buy another one.

A lot of the reviews I have seen are not so good but the PSU have is FULLY modular and all the ones I have seen the reviews have hard wired cables coming off them.

I think you Really need to use something in order to say it's good or bad. I know people have bad luck with components but it happens to all of us that's just the way it is.

I'd just like to say no pun intended at anyone.

Your lucky then cause jeantech suck and not only from others saying it but from experience with other peoples systems i build. Its just a cheap and nasty brand if you would even call it a brand, also google up some reviews in the insides of these JEANTECHS lol

Yup hate to be the bearer of bad news but jean tech are pretty poor

I'd be getting rid before I put a new gpu near my rig if I were you

The 8pin isn't pci-e so not for the graphics card, its for the 8pin power on the motherboard.

Its your(PC's) funeral but if you must keep the pu don't be too surprised if it blows and takes your PC with it, don't come crying on here as no one will be too sympathetic after people have told you to get a new PSU.

But forgetting the cheap/expensive argument, don't think the PSU has the required amps on the rails to support the graphics card.
