Does a FAT PS3 support 1TB harddrives ?

Guys can you tell me if the FAT PS3 can support 1TB harddrives ?
As am looking to upgrade from the 320GB I put in mine a while ago..
My PS3 came with a 60Gb when I bought new..

Am looking at upgrading it with something like this 1TB 2.5" drive

Ignore Mr-White, hes misread your question...

1TB should be fine, its more about the height of the 2.5" drive (think max its 9.5mm) as some of the highly capacity drives use an additional platter so those 12mm ones are a no go

That drive you linked is the one I have sitting in my old fat 80GB PS3, works fine (works out to be about 960GB I think)
