Gigabyte R9-270X vs GTX760

Hi,

Money is very tight and I do not want to skimp on the rest of the parts in my build. So after reading reviews online, it appears that there is not a great deal of difference in performance between the R9-270X and the GTX760. I would be using 1080P resolution.

Would appreciate any advice as the price difference is approx £40, which I want to put into the motherboard and ram. Cheers.

Not a lot in it at 1080p 4-5 FPS at most. If you overclock the 270x slightly it'll likely match a 760.

It's your budget and £40 for 4-5 fps is not worth it IMO

True enough actually, if you could afford a 760 then you should be buying a 7950.

A far superior card

As above. As long as there are 7950's available no reason to look at 760's/260x. Plus never settle games still come with the 7950 so get a few pounds back selling them.

one last question, would the Antec High Current Gamer 620W Modular be ok with the 7950 and a 4670K?
