Exactly, I have a dune buggy I have partially modded and my Elergy that I got for free that is Partially modded. Probably spent around £50/60k on the cars so far.

I am up to around £160k and earning around 20-60k an hour depending on how much my brother and myself mess around. Although you have to take out death tax and Ammo/Armor costs from that so take away maybe 5-20k depending on what we are doing. Currently saving for the £210k apartment as don't see the point in the 400k one as its the exact same but with a better view... Im here to kill not sight see from an apartment.
 
I have a bad habit of bombing out at the end of a session. I say Bombing out as it reminds me of the ritual bombing we did when we were sick of being in the swimming pool so we "Bombed out". Basically when I come back to a server after a mission/race sesh I go on a frenzy & end up shooting a few bots & running a couple of dozen over which leads to a 3 star which turns into a 4 star after I've shot maybe 4-8 cops. This leads to me being Raped by SWAT who drop out of Choppers. I try to kill a few on the ropes on the way down & usually go down soon after. :D
Costs me money but it's epic fun & a lot of times I do the same when I get out of hospital, Deck the first person I see, shoot a few people, shoot a driver for there car & it all starts again. :p
 
Are the people having joining issues on the PS3 ? If so I did post a while back that deleting the patches & re installing the latest ones does help the PS3 as apparently the first patch caused a lot of issues.
I did this myself & haven't encountered a single issue since doing it & I was one of the people that lost a char/money/garage/cars. I'm now level 38 & on & off a lot & in & out of missions/races & all the internet etc works as it should. I can also pull my mates into my Invite only server via the friends list.
 
My problems begin when i bump into people like Thundey off here. Costs me a fortune playing with that guy with all the ammo and medical bills i have to pay for :p

Every time i have seen him, he has a trail of police cars and choppers following him.
 
Sounds like my kind of guy. :D

I love being in the passenger seat as I can randomly spray anybody I feel like killing/making crash. should have heard my mate moaning about me starting trouble. :p
 
I had a result yesterday, i bought a Carbonizzare.

Later on i went back online and i still had the cash i spent + Carbonizzare in my garage, so bought a Vacca i was going to be saving up for :D

I'll probably log on today and find my profile is knackered...

EDIT: They havent started sending out half of the 500k yet have they? I suppose it could have been that? That is going towards a Stinger GT whenever it arrives.

My Career earnings come to just over a million. With that I've bought an appartment at eclipse towers for 390k with the 10 car garage. I've also bought a load of mods for free cars. I have:

Vapid Sandking XL
Elegy RH8
Sabre Turbo
Dodge Charger thing
Dodge Challenger thing
Vapid Dominator
Jaguar XF Thing

But they are all stolen :p (but then isn't that the point of a game called Grand Theft Auto :D )

I earnt the 1 million all legit apart from just repeating the same missions again and again. We still do it post patch, but this time using a group of 5 / 6 and sharing each others missions. Yes you can only request a mission every 10 minutes, but when you've got 6 of you doing it .... you get more missions than you can do.

I've done base invaders for 25k numerous times this way. I've also done extradition a couple of times which is an 16k mission and Mixed up with coke which is an 18k mission. All from high level friends.

We did violent duct on quick repeat back in the day, but in all honestly if you work together as a team you can get the mission again and replay almost as quickly, completely legit.

You're missing out however if you're playing this as a lone wolf and don't have anybody to share your missions with
 
At Lv19.3 the use of exploits are sort of putting me off. I was playing last night and heard two english lads chatting about it - most likely the one in the video above. One was saying that he was low on cash after buying lots of cars and the highest tier house. They he said he'll brb with more to his friend. About 30mins later he appears and somehow gives his friend a ton of cash judging by his reaction over the mic. Not sure how they swapped cash but there you go.

At my level I have about 150k to my name and a little 2 car garage as home - all legit but the sort of grind is already getting to me. Looking forward to the Rockstar 'gift' but have a feeling they'll turn a blind eye to exploit usage.

Finally bought my sexy 400k Apartment with 10slot garage yesturday, now I can spend my money on cars and guns, Only got my Modified SandKing and Elegy in it.

Made 200k back easy from completing the survival missions, and nice amount of RP, got me up to Rank 32.


Am I able to make 2 characters and switch between the 2, I'm already in a crew with my main, but would like a secondary to join another crew with friends.

Your crew is tied to your social club account (and thus your gamertag) not your character. So you can't have one character in one crew and another in a different one.

Your other character shares the same money too. Its a not a true "alternate" character.

You can join more than one crew, but you will only show the tag of (and gain extra from gaming with) your primary Crew.

You can, can't you? You can buy the helepad near Los Santos Customs by the Airport, and you can by a berth in the Marina. I assume you can buy an airfield somewhere too.

In the MP lobby screens it shows assets owned as cars, boats, planes and helecopters. I would assume its just like the SP and you can buy them to appear at locations you own.

I've not got to the stage of trying this yet though.

Total spent: £1,407,866

I have to say since being unable to instant repeat missions and the reduction in payment for the missions it does seem a lot harder to keep money. Though doesn't help that I have had to mod two of my cars twice due to glitches and loosing them :( Base invaders while paying the most is the worst mission for me so far I think, Only completed it once so earned 25k but in all the attempts I think I spent about 40k :(

I know I could build up some capital so easily by doing some races and the occasionally easy mission, especially if I did it alone so no temptation to do stupid things but where is the fun in that! :D

I know you can in SP but never noticed in MP that they have the property icon on or ever noticed the dynasty8 boards when at the helipad or airfield and they don't appear on the website that I remember so I don't think you can.

I think Fr0dders is right, you buy them and they show as assetts you own but they never exist anywhere you need to call them to get them. This also makes sense as a helicpoter just sat at the helipad is easy prey for people to steal or destory.

What I am more interested in finding out (which I keep meaning to google) is if there is any insurance on special vehicles (tanks, helicopters, planes etc.) as would be annoying to buy one for couple million and find that if it is detroyed you need to spend another couple of million.

Edit: Just read a thread on GTA:F so I would take with a pinch of salt but apparently you buy them and you call pegasus up who will deliver one to you, though it costs you 1k everytime :eek: Also they do apparently come with insurance as if it destroyed you can ring up again and they will send another one.

You can be in 5 different Crews and switch to them whenever you feel like it, Currently I'm in Supa Spies, OCUK and SV650.

survivor is great for getting Ammo as well :) Buy a weapon then run around collecting all the ammo during the missions, Its ace :)

They only exist in single player. They aren't there in GTA online.
 
Just started the online yesterday and well impressed - loving it, but I guess I can see its gonna be a grind to get anywhere - thank god R* are throwing in 500k which will deffo help...

Anyone got any recommendations about a garage/house to buy - Ive only got 25k so its a distant purchase but need it if I want to have some cars.

Hopefully my headphones will be repaired next week so I can do some gaming with some of the crew. Need to rank up to get some decent guns...
