Thinking about picking one of these up. Can someone comment a little more on the noise levels they make when full tilt?

I have an ASUS 560 GTX at the moment and the little fan in it is the loudest thing in my machine (it's water cooled) and has a really annoying click!

you really should never need to run it anymore more than 60% to keep the temp down. At that speed, it's not at all loud but you can definitely hear it. It's a difficult one to describe. Certainly not as quiet as the fantastic Noctua fans, but nowhere near as lous as the older cards have been.

Opinions seem to vary greatly on this. This is how i see it, with my headphones off.

25-50%= silent, can't hear it.
60%= quiet, but noticeable.
70%= manageable
75%+=loud.
100% = 60% on a AMD stock cooler. :D

Fingers crossed besides BF4 DX error and a BF4 crash. Looks like flashing my mainboards Bios again has solved it. Time to try another game.

Thank god i thought you were beyond help. Remember to read the guide though. Before you flash the bios you should uninstall all overclocking apps, do not keep settings and uninstall driver. Flash, then install 13.11 beta 1. ;)
