I cancelled a few months back. Been playing since Burning Crusade times but real life means I have less time and other priorities. They have fixed the main problem of the early part of this expansion by streamlining the dull beyond belief daily grind. If you are a raider in an organised raiding guild the game is in the best shape it has been in for some time. Raids on Normal and Heroic mode are amongst the best yet. Game is still a time sink. Think hard on whether it's worth the real life consequences of playing!
well can someone suggest a MMO which has tank/healer/dps roles and decent combat with professions Ive tried GW2 but didnt like it what else is out there in that format
visuals effects on classes are a must if you get me. I like to feel I am doing somthing and now fizz out using spells as such

If you are after something other than WoW take a look at SW: The Old Republic or Final Fantasy 14. Personally I love SWToR, but then I love anything Star Wars (prequels not inc).

I'd recommend Final Fantasy XIV for you. It looks amazing, spell effects are fantastic if you can crank the game up to max. It has the usual holy trinity, with some nice buffing and debuffing.
What's interesting is that you can max out every class and profession (given enough time) on one character - all you need to do to go from one class to another is swap your weapon.
If you like the FF series it's a fantastic game to get into - even if you're not looking out for FF universe references, it's still a very polished MMO and well worth a look.
I've only experienced FF7 and FF8 being a PC user and those were the only 2 that got ported to the PC. Given that I've played these, but have also played WoW (mainly Vanilla and TBC), do you think I'll like FF14? If it's of any help, I was definitely more of a PvE kid in WoW! Had warlock as my main character and a priest as 2nd char. Didn't try out a pala or rouge etc (yeah it's spelt rouge hehe).
ColEx has nailed it, no point until something a bit different comes out, for me that'll be Camelot Unchained and Star Citizen, everything else can go take a jump.

Currently, you can get Vanilla/TBC/WOTLK for 10 quid and Cataclysm for another fiver on the Battlenet store, which is a pretty decent deal. I can't name any other MMO that bundles up previous content like that (perhaps FFXI?).
I bought Guildwars Complete which had everything I think (3/4 expansions, not sure as I only played it for about an hour and then forgot my character name which was required to login or something retarded - and because I was a latecomer to the game it had to be something weird because people had already registered the normal nicks I might use!).
Never go back. It's really the best advice Whatever you hated about the game that made you leave in the first place, it'll happen again.
I found that with EQ. The first time was the best, but I did come back a couple times. Each time was fun for a while, but ultimately I left again, and my time would have been better spent exploring something new.
