GTA V Multiplayer thread (360, XBOX ONE, PS3 and PS4)

Why are people not having a car from each category for the races stored in their garage? Custom cars blitz others using normal cars.

Because for the majority of the time, Catchup is on which means just keep it clean and 2nd until the last checkpoint, doesn't matter how fast your car is unfortunately.
 
I'm waiting for my free money to buy an apartment/10 car garage. With my daily frenzys my hospital bills take up most of my daily takings. :p I've got 200k in the bank but I want to buy a certain motor & mod it a bit with that. Can't do anything at the mo though with my 2 car garage full.
 
Ah, thats why you host your own server.

Had no trouble last night, the server would fill up before i had chance to put it to 'closed'.

As said though, the disc is not tied to your console so if you have a memory stick around, install your mates play disc to the memory stick (will have to format it first on the xbox) and then try to play from your scratched disc. As I said on the last page, as long as the xbox can read enough on your disc to verify that it is a genuine disc it will then read everything else from the memory stick and you shouldn't have any problems them :)

RIght so...get his Play disc Copy

Copy to my formatted USB stick.

Keep MY original disc, scratch and all, in the hope is just gets enough to verify its mine then it will hopefully read the rest off the USB stick?

Rolls Royce Phantom, Bentley GT or an Aston Martin cannot decide yet, simply to be showpieces, not gonna bother actually driving them as they will be crap compared to the other cars.

Yes. If it doesn't work then I would consider going to one of the retailers that offers to remove the scratches, though IMO this should always be the last thing you try.

Ratloader is awesome.

Yeah with the Sultan once fully upgraded it's basically the same as the RS you find in GTA 4. Sounds the same with the big turbo dump hiss when changing gear.

Thanks for your help, but just thinking I don't think it will work, as even the dashboard it straight up says in the tile the disc is not readable, so it may not even try and load. Will give it a go any ways.

As far as Im aware none of the shops in Belfast have the service to skim the discs, wonder if I have to send it off.

You could try some t cut, it'll eliminate deep scratches at the expense of many smaller ones. My old Xbox did the exact same thing to my Oblivion disc and knackered it until I spent 30 minutes gently applying t cut to the disc and afterwards it worked fine, didn't even have to install it. If the disc doesn't work once installed, it may be a good idea to try. Not sure if that will mess with your chances of having it repaired but I don't think Microsoft or Rockstar will repair it for you, and retailers will use their disc cleaners on your discs regardless of the condition.

Have you tried HMV ? astonished that a big city like Belfast dosent have this service.
