US: The Walking Dead Season 4 (contains spoilers)

Too late to do that plot now! :p

They will have to leave the prison for one reason or another though......

Personally I would love to see more flashbacks of when the outbreak happened, the few that we got were superb!

Also, a few things that have had me thinking a lot about this episode are:

- the gun buried (possibly Carl's gun??)
- the zombie with bleeding eyes
- the pig that died
- notice the boy who died also had blood from his eyes

I definitely think the virus has mutated or/and somehow the animals that they are eating are carrying a mutated form of the virus that will cause death, would explain the whole pig death scene.....

Plus notice how for next weeks episode, Glen says there are walkers in the prison block so either that boy has killed other people during the night (although am sure that people would have heard screams etc.) or others have turned via the same way he did???

Still want to know why on earth Rick is so against carrying/using his gun too!

Didn't bother watching. First ep of a new season and nearly everyone commenting on here is disappointed. Utterly hopeless.

Agree with arknor. First season was pretty decent, as was the start of season 3. Everything in between and after that has been painstakingly awful to watch.

In before, "If you don't like it don't watch it" cos' I don't :)

I enjoyed the episode, a little slow but it showed what was new, how they were dealing with the zombies and growing their own food.

The only thing that wound me up was how they turned into scared little children when zombies fell from the ceiling.

Also, the thing i'd like to know is why did Carl storm off when he sees the kids learning about knives? In a world like that, kids need to be shown how to handle and use weapons from an early age. Rather than do it in secret, I would have thought it would have been agreed by the "council".

he wanted storytime and a childhood.

he sneaked in to listen

I just made a connection when people talked about the sick pig.

Remember that young fella ( that turns or gets ill or something) wanted to shake the hand of the hunter fella? ( name has gone), about getting to eat deer as it was a real treat?, wonder if that is how he got sick?

Then why did she pretend to be reading about a story to the kids till the other older man left?...then she looked a bit shifty before bringing out the hidden weapons?

To me that looked like it WASNT agreed and some are doing it behind others back.

Could be an STD, just sayin :p

That wasn't the question though, he only asked why Carl stormed off not whether it was sanctioned by the council :)

Ahh, sorry, I guess I Was looking at it that Carl has kind of ( like his dad) has got sick of the violence side of it all etc, though I hate it just starts off that way, they could have had a much more interesting time in filling us in with what had happened or had been going in with Rick in the time that has passed. Not wasting our time with a completely empty side story with that woman, we could have had some quality flashbacks.

the virus is mutating did you miss the sick pig? and the boy porking it?

Did you miss where I already posted about those two things? :p

Curious as to what caused that boy to die, iirc didn't the writers say that the virus had evolved and would be a much bigger concern so perhaps that is it, he died because of the virus??

Clearly the virus has mutated but the question is how has it mutated?

Are animals now carriers? Or is the virus more deadly now i.e. causing random deaths so essentially people are now a ticking time bomb? The way they did the camera work with the water supply made it look like that could be another cause too (highly doubt it is this since everyone would die sooner or later then!)

I am 90% sure it is something to do with the animals given the scenes dedicated to a sick/dead pig, the boy going on about that deer that Daryl caught and as said above:

Am sure that things will be explained in the upcoming episodes as to why Rick doesn't want to carry/use his gun and doesn't want kids being taught how to defend themselves...

It would be utterly stupid not to explain why the main character of the show has completely changed his ways.

it would appear so since there were multiple dead animals in the woods with no obvious signs of trauma

Anyone else irritated somewhat by how juicy and fresh the zombies always are? Like falling through the roof and exploding into a pool of fresh and juicy red blood. A corpse wouldn't have blood like that.

you would expect them to be a hell of a lot more rotten after all this time.

they surely wouldn't be able to repair on a molecular level like living beings do so would just slow breakdown over time until they are a pile of mess?

needs to be congealed and that zombie didn't have an ounce of fat in him!

they are more than likely giving people what they expect to see though

Yeah and how can they hear/see? Everything else on them is rotten, so how can their eyeball and optic nerve still work? Same with the eardrum. I get it's a TV show, but when they are so visibly rotten it's more puzzling.

I also don't like how easily they can bite through clothes. That one bit straight through to that guy's leg and bit a piece off. Try bite your pants, you won't get through. If they just wore jeans and denim jackets they'd be fine. They should dress like bikers in leathers and helmets and no zombie would get them.
