Neighbour asked to scrounge our wifi

Wait! So Op gave the wifi pass in the end? I must have missed that.

Massive :/

Can't see him saying that anywhere - the last reference from the OP was that he was going to say "no". When I say "he", I mean that he was manfully going to get his girlfriend to do the deed :D

Set your router up with a 'sign-up' page that appears in her web browser when she connects.

Then when enters a page of details, she clicks 'continue'.

A picture of a monkey appears and tells her to do one..

It's nice that the OP wants to be nice....

ONLY time I would even think about this is if I were single and neighbor was hot. Would obv. remove said access once I had my way / acquired a new target

Good lord, you have the backbone of a jelly fish. :p

I massively LOL'd at that....and will be using that quote as and when i can, thanks! :)

OP...c'mon dude.......
Should have just said "no, sorry" right away firmly, and she probably wouldn't ask again.
Making up stuff to avoid upsetting an obvious "scummy" scrounger you barely know is a bit wimpy i'm afraid.

But, however you rationalise it, don't let her on, period!

I don't think wanting to see the good in everyone is a bad thing, naive maybe, but not bad. Besides, its a moot point as we've not given her access/an answer yet.

we all know it will happen ;)

Used to give the two student lasses who lived above me access to mine but I did manage to nail both of them (that didn't go down well with them both.....)

Q:"guys should i let my neighbor use my wifi"
A: 100% of people said no.

OP still lets neighbor use the wifi.......

oh GD you make me happy.
Your choice here friend:

To everyone assuming i'm wimping out of telling her myself, i find the woman grating at best. I've spent no more than 5 minutes in the same vacinity as her and both times she was heavily drunk. My mrs keeps going down to visit and say hello, i dont because quite frankly, the less time spent around her the happier i'll be. My mrs was the one who was asked, not me. I only started the thread as i was wondering if i was being a bitter old man by saying no and wanted to know what everyone else would do.

The mrs wont be doing that as i pointed out our little collection of home made adult films are accessible on the network if someone sat down for long enough to browse through all the backed up files! The look of shock when i told her was enough for me to know she wont be doing that, Haha

why would you have home made adult films accessible on the network....

and just because you don't broadcast your ssid doesn't means **** some mobile phone apps still let you see them
