Batman Arkham Asylum & City both just converted to Steamworks only

You don't have to redownload, I just loaded Asylum and GFWL is gone so it must have auto updated.

I really really hope Gears Of War gets done, still play that online.

Looks like Capcom are gonna follow suit - shame they had a Steam sale recently before mentioning this...

Is non-GOTY Batmans being fixed aswell?

If you purchased them you get the GOTY version free. It's in your steam library, you have to redownload it.

Assuming you had to purchase through steam in the first place?

Mine is retail and don't think I can activate in steam. Well....it failed when I last tried.

Yeah just checked on my Mac and it looks like Steam recognises me as purchasing AA GOTY, so thats good to know :)

Can't play both of mine currently, both crash on start up as soon as I click play. Seems to be the 13.11 beta drivers but can't be arsed to change them now.

Well it was just added to Steamworks, so if you haven't tried recently you can give it another go now. All CD keys should work.
 
If Dark Souls/GTA/Dead Rising/Bulletstorm and and Gears of War also gets done I will be a happy boy. I assume you could still install GFWL from retail discs and just whack it right into offline mode with a local profile. Does not help online modes though
 
Until they release a downloadable patch yeah. But GFWL is not due to end until next year so not as if they can't be played. They may allow the keys to register on Steam instead, who knows.

It would make sence, but then you get the whole thing about 'Not owning the games' when using the Steam Platform. Not that it would make a difference which way you did it.
 
So it seems if you originally had the non GOTY version of Arkham City on Steam, the GOTY version is added to your library and you have to install that version to be GWFL free but that means losing your save right?

I still play the challenge mode quite a lot but cant be bothered replaying campaign and finding all those annoying Riddler trophies to unlock the maps again :mad:
 
Sale yay. I just added this game to my wishlist a few days ago. I've not really looked into them much before, other than being aware they're highly rated.
