I had the read pads changed 2-3 months or so ago and recently when pulling away first thing in the morning it sounds like the back brakes are sticking, It makes a sort of squealing noise but only for a 20 seconds or so.

It's been doing that for about 2 weeks, last night though when getting home there was a distinct smell of burning rubber from the rear right side, same side as the squeal as far as I can tell.

I checked the tyre, calipers and disks and they were all cold. The exhaust was pretty hot as I could hearing it ticking as it cooled but the smell was mainly coming from the top of the wheel arch behind the tyre.

Any ideas?

smell burning rubber ay? just prior are you traveling at 88 miles and hour? subsequently, if you are going that fast do you often find your surroundings changing visually... like the road might turn to dirt track....or cars next to you are hovering without wheels??

(hope people get the reference ;) :) )
