Chromecast & BT Infinity

Hello,

Has anyone got BT Infinity and Chromecast and got it working at all?

Got my device on Tuesday and was working all fine and dandy, got my BT installed yesterday, and my CC no longer accepts cast from youtube/music but will work fine with Netflix.

Any help most appreciated.

Ive had a CC and BT Infinity (albeit through talktalk) and I havn't experienced any issues, would be weird that BT is blocking it just for youtube and music as well.

You could maybe try re connecting the CC, don't really have any other ideas.

I can't see why it would block anything. As suggested try reconnecting it. You can reboot it from the app and as a last resort you could always do a factory reset and start over again.

Where are you buying Chromecast from?

All I get is "Chromecast is not available in your country."

Amazon.com did a booboo and opened up International shipping the other week, stopped it a couple of days later.

I had a email the next day saying soryy blah blah blah

really wanted a Chromecast.

My gf went to the USA last month, walked into best buy and brought 6 for me, some friends and family. Lucky she did.

The device itself is now available from the UK 'rain forest' store... for £48.75 (at the time of writing!).

As I mentioned in another thread it is possible that these could be imports from the U.S. rather than the specific UK model, but I can't be sure of this, and am certainly not going to pay that sort of money just to find out!

Hopefully the price will be lower when it hits the UK Play Store, and if it is somewhere near the predicted £30 mark, then I might just be tempted.

Got mine from the us, working fine here on infinity 80mb. I've heard it has trouble with wifi channels above 11.

If any of you get a Chromecast do not connect to the net until you have rooted it because google has closed the hole.
