Hey everyone. I've recently bought a laptop from OCUK it has a rather small solid state hard drive as the main drive and then I got a bigger secondary drive. My problem is when I download things like from orgins or steam it goes to the solid state drive and most times won't install because there isn't space. I try and move what I have installed to the second drive but that just messes things up. I'm ok for installing from disc but I don't tend to use disc.

Can someone help me configure this so when I download origins or steam ( or games from them) to go to the secondary hard drive. Thank you for your time

Few options:

-Use Steam Mover
-Reinstall Origin, Steam & any other games to the secondary drive
-Steam lets you choose a different location when installing most games now

Much the same as above,

You can also change the locations of your download, pictures, music ect by right clicking them and changing the path to your second hdd, that's how I've got it set up, i haven't managed to make it default to the second hdd when installing yet but there must be a setting that you can change

Just to say the same as above. You are going to need a bigger SSD than 120gb if you're thinking of installing steam and origin on your C drive, along with your O/S.
It may look ok to start with but when you add games or get updates you will run out of space pretty quickly.
240gb SSD drives are coming down in price slowly :)
As said above, install only the O/S and what you use most frequently on your SSD and install your gaming on the HDD unless you have enough space, to me its only faster loading times anyway.
Another thing is if you're playing beta's, remember the file size is going to be a lot bigger due to frequent updates.
