I've always played my 360 on my PC monitor using a HDMI to DVI cable. I went to connect the 360 to my TV using HDMI to HDMI however I would get 'no signal' on the TV. If I connect it to my TV using VGA it works absolutely fine.

I've reset the display settings on the TV and I've also tried it on my other TV by HDMI which shows 'no signal' either.

Does anyone know why this could be?

Cheers

Theres not a setting on the xbox gui/system settings menu which needs changing to hdmi whilst connected to a VGA monitor is there? Long shot i know but worth a look

Reset your display settings. To do this:
Remove any discs from the disc tray.
Turn off the console.
Turn on the console.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console.

As above I've already tried that. :(

Have you another cable to try, I wouldn't believe it till it happened to me over the last couple of days, but some are better quality.

Tried 4 different cables now, still no joy.

It's weird that it works fine if I connect it HDMI>DVI but not HDMI>HDMI...

Yep - Get the exact same issue. I'm leading to think the HDMI port has just ended up faulty or something because VGA works fine...

I was thinking of that. After doing all of the other tests, it has to be the HDMI port.
